Endophytes are rich in plant tissues and play important roles plant-microbial interactions plant-growth regulation. Here, endophytic bacteria from two closely related tea cultivars of Zijuan Yunkang-10 were isolated, the diversities compared. Plant-growth promoting (PGP) activities determined on dominant groups or nitrogen-fixing genera cultivars. Endophytic isolated by using different selective media methods, PGP investigated analytical molecular technologies. A total 110 isolates 18...

Galactinol synthase (GolS) is a key biocatalyst for the synthesis of raffinose family oligosaccharides (RFOs). RFOs accumulation plays critical role in abiotic stress adaptation, but relationship between expression GolS genes and biotic adaptation remains unclear. In this study, two CsGolS were found to be highly up-regulated transcriptome library Ectropic oblique-attacked Camellia sinensis. Three complete then cloned characterized. Gene transcriptional analyses under conditions indicated...

We engineered novel T5-like bacteriophage (phage) with extended host ranges by editing the long-tail fibers (PB3 and PB4) to combat Salmonella Enteritidis. By replacing PB3 PB4 regions of phage PH204 those from SP76, we created phages RPA1 − 3 RPB1 3, which exhibited expanded ranges, lysing 54 strains compared original 30 strains. These retained biological characteristics PH204, including temperature, pH stability adsorption rate. In milk, inhibited ZWSA605 growth, reducing bacterial counts...
