Efficient lasing is demonstrated from a clear dispersion of silane-modifed Nd2O3 nanoparticles in dimethylsulfoxide. Surface modification with the silane helps to disperse nanoparticles, as indicated figure. The fluorescence lifetime and quantum yield dispersed are amongst highest obtained for NdIII emitting center an organic medium.
Abstract Background Acinetobacter baumannii is a notorious opportunistic pathogen mainly associated with hospital-acquired infections. Studies on the clonal relatedness of isolates could lay foundation for effective infection control. A snapshot study was performed to investigate . clinical in our local settings. Results Among 82 non-repetitive spp. that were recovered during period four days 13 hospitals Sichuan, Southwest China, 67 identified as A. Half non-susceptible carbapenems. bla...
A prospective study was conducted to investigate the incidence, clinical profiles and outcome of ICU-onset CDI in a 50-bed medical ICU at university hospital China. Stools were collected from patients who developed diarrhea screened for tcdA (toxin gene) tcdB B by PCR. cases compared with non-CDI demographics, comorbidities, potential risk factors, major laboratory findings outcomes. Stool samples subjected C. difficile culture isolates tcdA, binary toxin genes (cdtA cdtB) using multiplex...
This study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of patients and molecular mechanisms first outbreak mainly caused by sequence types (STs) 208 multidrug resistant (MDR) Acinetobacter baumannii in China. A total 10 samples were collected from 5 who involved outbreak. Bacterial identification antibiotic sensitivity tests performed VITEK-2 COMPACT automated system. MICs tigecycline for isolates determined using broth microdilution. The clonal relatedness A. our local settings was...
Escherichia coli clinical isolate WCE307 was found to belong phylogroup B2, O25b and sequence type (ST) 131 had blaCTX-M-65, which carried by an IncN conjugative plasmid, pWCE307. On pWCE307, the ISEcp1Δ-blaCTX-M-65-IS903D-ironΔ structure located in a Tn1722-like element flanked 5 bp direct target repeats. This context highly similar that on pKC396, plasmid from E. KC396 of ST131 Germany. The elements carrying blaCTX-M-65 pWCE307 pKC396 are likely be hybrids Tn1722 Tn5051, resulting double...
The aim of this study was to explore the activity combined antimicrobials in vitro, and relationship among resistance mechanisms, regimens, clinical outcome patients with carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) infections western China. A total 89 CRAB strains were collected from infection January 2018 June our hospital. checkerboard assay performed combination effects vitro. Carbapenemase-encoding genes detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or multiplex PCR technique....
Haemodialysis-related porphyria cutanea tarda is a rare, but serious and mutilating skin condition, resulting from extremely high plasma porphyrin levels because of their inadequate clearance by haemodialysis. The treatment very difficult as chloroquine ineffective venesection, the conventional this disease, not always an option anaemia end-stage renal disease. We report case haemodialysis-related her successful management recombinant human erythropoietin treatment.
Objective To study the effects of efflux pump inhibitors(CCCP and PAβN)on carbapenems in Pseudomonas aernginosa(P.aeruginosa)clinical isolates investigate association between resistance to imipenem or meropenem expression levels pumps P.aeruginosa.Methods MICs combined with inhibitors including carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone(CCCP,107 strains)and Phe-Arg-β-naphthylamide(PAβN,71 strains)against imipenem-resistant strains were determined by agar dilution method, and changes...
