Here we report the complete genome sequence of Singapore grouper iridovirus (SGIV). Sequencing random shotgun and restriction endonuclease genomic libraries showed that entire SGIV consists 140,131 nucleotide bp. One hundred sixty-two open reading frames (ORFs) from sense antisense DNA strands, coding for lengths varying 41 to 1,268 amino acids, were identified. Computer-assisted analyses deduced acid sequences revealed 77 ORFs exhibited homologies known virus genes, 23 which matched...

miRNAs are associated with various types of cancer due to their ability affect expression genes that modulate tumorigenesis. In this study, we explored the role miR-141 in pancreatic cancer. The analysis clinical characteristics showed was significantly downregulated tissues and cell lines Moreover, decreased level tumor size TNM stage, as well lymph node distant metastasis. Meanwhile, both Kaplan-Meier multivariate survival were overall survival. Overexpression cells inhibited...

Accumulating evidence indicates that microRNAs (miRNAs) are aberrantly expressed in human cancer and contribute to the tumorigenesis, but their roles pancreatic still largely unknown. In this study, our data showed miR-130b was significantly downregulated 52 pairs of tissues five cell lines. Furthermore, deregulated correlated with worse prognosis, increased tumor size, late TNM stage, lymphatic invasion distant metastasis. Multivariate analysis expression a significant independent...

Abstract miRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that participate in a variety of biologic processes, and dysregulation miRNA is always associated with cancer development progression. Aberrant expression miR-148b has been found some types cancer, but its potential role pancreatic still largely unknown. In this study, our data showed was significantly downregulated 48 pairs human tissues five cell lines. Furthermore, the deregulated correlated increased tumor size, late tumor–node–metastasis stage,...

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is supposed to be an inflammation induced response which may take a central role in tumorigenesis. Since recent evidence indicates that microRNAs involved EMT, the present study set out reveal miRNA might regulate EMT CP (chronic pancreatitis) and PC (pancreatic cancer) its potential mechanism. Firstly, we provided both tissues demonstrated active profile. Consistently, miR-217 was obviously down-regulated CP, TGF-β1 treated cells, while negatively...

Abstract Background and Objectives Increased rigidity of the extracellular matrix (ECM) is commonly associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The purpose this study was to quantitate mechanical stiffness various hepatic tissues, evaluate integrin β1 expression, investigate correlation between these two factors in development HCC. Methods Twenty‐three normal specimens, 152 cases cirrhosis, 105 HCC were included study. ECM each specimen detected using atomic force microscopy calculate...

Grouper Epinephelus spp. is one of the most important mariculture fish species in China and South-East Asian countries. The emerging viral diseases, evoked by iridovirus which belongs to genus Megalocytivirus Ranavirus, have been well characterized recent years. To date, few data on lymphocystis disease grouper caused virus (LCDV) were described. Here, a novel LCDV isolate was identified characterized. Based sequence major capsid protein (MCP) DNA polymerase gene, we found that causative...

Abstract Cancer cells predominantly produce energy at a high rate of glycolysis even in aerobic environment. It is termed as Warburg effect and necessary for the tumorigenesis. Studies showed pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2), key regulator effect, overexpressed involved numerous cancers. However, expression function PKM2 pancreatic cancer (PC) remain undefined. Our results that PC tissue compared to peritumoral tissue. Unexpected, downregulation did not affect proliferation, invasion,...

Abstract We developed a highly sensitive method to detect liver tissue stiffness with atomic force microscopy (AFM), and investigated the physical features of hepatocarcinogenesis. Wistar rats received weekly intraperitoneal injections diethylnitrosamine (DEN) or saline (control) followed by 2‐week wash‐out period. Liver samples were harvested at 10, 14, 18 weeks for pathological examination stress detection. Previously normal tissues fibrosis carcinoma after DEN administration. Although...
