The first case of 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) virus infection in China was documented on May 10. Subsequently, persons with suspected cases and contacts those were tested. Persons whom confirmed hospitalized quarantined, some them closely observed for the purpose investigating nature duration disease.During June 2009, we 426 infected who quarantined 61 hospitals 20 provinces. Real-time reverse-transcriptase-polymerase-chain-reaction (RT-PCR) testing used to confirm infection, clinical...

Background. Influenza A(H7N9) viruses isolated from humans show features suggesting partial adaptation to mammals. To provide insights into the pathogenesis of H7N9 virus infection, we compared risk factors, clinical presentation, and progression patients hospitalized with H7N9, H5N1, 2009 pandemic H1N1 (pH1N1) infections.

The heavy metal cadmium (Cd) is a contaminant widely distributed in the food chain. In present study, 8-week oral administration of probiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8610, markedly decreased blood Cd levels volunteers. Further animal study showed that three L. strains administered orally exhibited significantly different effects on regulation bile acid (BA) metabolism and excretion mice. Among strains, CCFM8610 most significant enhancing hepatic BA synthesis, biliary glutathione...

To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of 2011 International Federation for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC) colposcopic terminology. The clinicopathological data 2262 patients who underwent colposcopy from September 2012 to 2016 were reviewed. The findings, impression, cervical histopathology analyzed. Correlations between variables evaluated using as gold standard.Colposcopic diagnosis matched biopsy in 1482 (65.5%), weighted kappa strength agreement was 0.480 (P<0.01). Colposcopic...

Patients with schizophrenia (SCZ) experience constipation at significantly higher rates compared the general population. This relationship suggests a potential genetic overlap between these two conditions. We analyzed genome-wide association study (GWAS) data for both SCZ and using five-part approach. The first second parts assessed overall local correlations methods such as linkage disequilibrium score regression (LDSC) heritability estimation from summary statistics (HESS). third part...

Qingwei San (QWS), one of classic Chinese Medicine prescripts, has been widely used to treat stomach heat syndrome which manifests oral ulcer (OU), periodontitis and upper gastrointestinal bleeding for seven hundred years. However, the therapeutic effects QWS on diabetic OU subjected are still ambiguous. In study, we investigated pharmacological mechanisms. The main components aqueous extract were analyzed by LC-MS, potential pathways targeting predicted network pharmacology. The db/db mice...

Influenza, an acute respiratory infection caused by influenza virus, is one of public concerns to human health. Epidemiologically, characterized a sudden outbreak and rapid transmission with varying epidemics, seasonality, high morbidity yet low case fatality (usually 0.003% 0.03% except for avian flu). The past 300 years has witnessed at least six global pandemics, including four in the 20th century -- three them originated China.

In this study, we cloned the full-length chicken IL-18 (ChIL-18) gene from specific-pathogen-free (SPF) embryo spleen cells provided evidence that ChIL-18 a recombinant plasmid was successfully expressed DT40 cells. significantly enhanced gamma interferon (IFN-γ) mRNA expression splenocytes, which increased IFN-γ-induced nitric oxide (NO) synthesis by macrophages.
