The aim of this study was to demonstrate the anti-inflammatory effect Lactobacillus kefirgranum PRCC-1301-derived extracellular vesicles (PRCC-1301 EVs) on intestinal inflammation and barrier function. Human epithelial cells (IECs) Caco-2 were treated with PRCC-1301 EVs then stimulated dextran sulfate sodium (DSS). Real-time RT-PCR revealed that inhibited expression pro-inflammatory cytokines in cells. enhanced function by maintaining cell integrity tight junction. Loss Zo-1, claudin-1,...

Scientific figure captioning is a complex task that requires generating contextually appropriate descriptions of visual content. However, existing methods often fall short by utilizing incomplete information, treating the solely as either an image-to-text or text summarization problem. This limitation hinders generation high-quality captions fully capture necessary details. Moreover, data sourced from arXiv papers contain low-quality captions, posing significant challenges for training large...

Abstract The cell surface protein CD93 is known to be involved in the regulation of phagocytosis and adhesion. Although typically membrane-bound, a soluble form (sCD93) has recently been identified. Currently, however, role sCD93 monocyte function unknown. In current study, we analyzed functional effects on THP-1 monocytic cells human primary monocytes. Various forms recombinant were used investigate this molecule both monocytes line, THP-1. We found that induced differentiation...

The exact effects SA on human hair follicles (HFs) is unknown. purpose this study was examine the growth. We investigated effect an in vivo C57BL/6 mouse model. examined expression mannose receptor (MR), which known SA, HFs and dermal papilla cells (hDPCs), outer root sheath (hORSCs), ex organ culture. significantly prolonged anagen growth confirmed MR HFs, that increased proliferation hDPCs...

Fructose consumption has increased dramatically but little is known about mechanisms regulating the intestinal fructose transporter GLUT5 in vivo. In neonatal rats, can be induced only by luminal and after 14 days of age, unless gut primed with dexamethasone prior to perfusion. To elucidate underlying modulation development, we first identified receptor mediating its effects then determined whether those were genomic. The glucocorticoid (GR) antagonist RU486 dose-dependently prevented...
