Oxaliplatin resistance can develop in colorectal cancer (CRC), which may involve inhibition of ferroptosis, although further research is needed to understand this potential mechanism. We evaluated CRC cells with acquired oxaliplatin (HCT116-Or) or congenital (H716) determine whether a ferroptosis inducer (RSL3) inhibitor (liproxstatin-1) could modulate the effects oxaliplatin. The results suggested that induction significantly reverse cells. Bioinformatic and cytobiological searches also...

Background— Postoperative atrial fibrillation is a frequent complication in cardiac surgery. The aberrant activation of signal transducer and activator transcription 3 (STAT3) contributes to the pathogenesis fibrillation. MicroRNA-21 (miR-21) promotes fibrosis. Recent studies support existence reciprocal regulation between STAT3 miR-21. Here, we test hypothesis that these 2 molecules might form feedback loop postoperative by promoting Methods Results— A sterile pericarditis model was created...

IntroductionVariable genomic breakpoints have been identified through the application of target-capture DNA next-generation sequencing (NGS) for ALK, ROS1, and RET fusion detection in NSCLC. We investigated whether breakpoint location can predict matched targeted therapy efficacy.MethodsNSCLCs were analyzed by NGS, target-specific RNA whole-transcriptome sequencing, immunohistochemistry.ResultsIn total, 3787 NSCLC samples analyzed. NGS detected fusions 241, 59, 76 cases, respectively. These...

There have been no comprehensive large-scale studies that evaluated the benefits of chemotherapy-based regimens in addressing HER2-altered advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) a first-line setting. Data on HER2 alteration subtypes and concomitant alterations are also limited. Accordingly, our retrospective, real-world POLISH study assesses efficacy chemotherapy alone (C) as well combinations with immune checkpoint inhibitors (C + I) or angiogenesis A) for NSCLC; molecular features...

Abstract Background Diverse genomic breakpoints of fusions that localize to intronic, exonic, or intergenic regions have been identified by DNA next-generation sequencing (NGS), but the role exonic remains elusive. We investigated whether exonic-breakpoint could predict matched targeted therapy efficacy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods NSCLC samples were analyzed NGS, RNA immunohistochemistry (IHC), and fluorescence situ hybridization. Results Using kinase 685 7148 (9.6%)...

Plaque rupture is a critical concern due to its potential for severe outcomes such as cerebral infarction and myocardial infarction, underscoring the urgency of noninvasive early diagnosis. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has gained prominence in plaque imaging, leveraging noninvasiveness, high spatial resolution, lack ionizing radiation.
