In comparison with general FISH for preparing probes in terms of time and cost, synthesized oligonucleotide (oligo hereafter) have many advantages such as ease design, synthesis, labeling. Low cost high sensitivity resolution oligo greatly simplify the procedure a simple, fast, efficient method chromosome identification. this study, we developed new multiplex to accurately efficiently distinguish wheat (Triticum aestivum, 2n = 6x, AABBDD) Thinopyrum bessarabicum (2n 2x 14, JJ) chromosomes....

Plant organ growth requires the proper transition from cell proliferation to expansion and differentiation. The CIN-TCP transcription factor gene TCP4 its post-transcriptional regulator microRNA319 play a pivotal role in this process. In study, we identified pathway which product of C2H2 zinc finger RABBIT EARS (RBE) regulates during Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) petal development. RBE directly represses early stages development; contributes controlling primordia. We also found that...

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a highly heritable neurodevelopmental disorder, causing defects of social interaction and repetitive behaviors. Here, we identify de novo heterozygous gene-truncating mutation the Sentrin-specific peptidase1 (SENP1) gene in people with ASD without delay. We find that Senp1

We report a grating solution for achieving broadband and polarization-independent properties that brings laser combining system to much higher power levels. The grating, with high-refractive-index-contrast bilayer ridge, was designed successfully fabricated based on high-power coatings, lithography, ion-beam etching technology. measured -1st order non-polarized reflective diffraction efficiency of the exceeds 98% over wavelength range 1.023-1.08 μm, highest value is 99.15%.

Summary Plant organs often grow into a genetically determined size and shape. How organ growth is finely regulated to achieve well defined pattern fascinating, but largely unresolved, question in plant research. We utilised the Arabidopsis petal study genetic control of growth, identify two closely related U‐box E3 ligases PUB25 PUB26 as important regulators by screening targets petal‐specific growth‐promoting transcription factor RABBIT EARS (RBE). showed that directly controlled RBE...

Loss of PTEN, the negative regulator PI3K activity, is frequent in glioblastomas (GBMs). However, role two major isoforms, p110α and p110β, PTEN-deficient gliomagenesis remains unknown. We show that GBM largely depends on for proliferation p110β migration. Genetic ablation either isoform delays tumor progression mice, but only ablating both isoforms completely blocks driven by concurrent Pten p53. BKM120 (buparlisib) treatment modestly prolongs survival mice bearing intracranial Pten/p53...

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are >200 nt RNA transcripts without protein-coding potential. LncRNAs can be categorized into intergenic, intronic, bidirectional, sense, and antisense lncRNAs based on the genomic localization to nearby genes. The current CRISPR-based lncRNA knockout strategy works efficiently for distant from gene, whereas it causes perturbance inevitably due technical limitations. In this study, we introduce a novel strategy, BESST, by deleting DNA fragment...
