Fifteen patients with acute Crohn9s disease aged between 6 and 20 years were given an elemental diet. One patient received it by nasogastric tube another would not tolerate it. All 14 have been reviewed for periods of 1 3 years. An diet appears to be a safe effective method inducing remission in disease.
