Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the world's most important non-grain food crop and central to global security. It clonally propagated, highly heterozygous, autotetraploid, suffers acute inbreeding depression. Here we use a homozygous doubled-monoploid potato clone sequence assemble 86% of 844-megabase genome. We predict 39,031 protein-coding genes present evidence for at least two genome duplication events indicative palaeopolyploid origin. As first an asterid, reveals 2,642 specific this...

Antithyroid drug (ATD)-induced agranulocytosis is associated with human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and nearby genes in Southeast Asian European populations. The susceptibility of the Han population from northern China to ATD-induced has not been reported. We evaluated associations genetic variants at HLA-B HLA-DRB1 loci 32 candidate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) 29 patients 140 Graves' disease (GD) as controls. All subjects were descent China. HLA-B*27:05 (P = 1.10 × 10-4), HLA-B*38:02...

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a major microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus and causes vision impairment blindness. The presence risk factors for DR, such as high levels HbA1c, does not predict all DR pathogenesis in the clinic, which suggests that uncovering underlying mechanisms identifying novel markers are needed. Previous evidence has shown serum metabolic signature unique detectable compared with (DM). Here, we aimed to identify metabolites reliable biomarkers type 2 DM (T2DM)...

The simultaneous occurrence of hyperthyroidism and hyperparathyroidism was previously reported to be rare, but it recognised more clearly by effective evaluations. Recent studies also mentioned the coexistence parathyroid adenoma papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). potential mechanism is still unknown. We report a case 46-year-old man coexisted with primary hyperparathyroidism, Graves’ occult PTC. patient had 6-month history polyphagia irritability. Blood examinations showed elevated serum...

This study examined the effect of monochromatic infrared energy (MIRE) on diabetic wound healing. Fifteen rats were given MIRE intervention their skin wounds located dorsum and compared with 15 control rats. Assessments conducted for each group at weeks 1, 2 4 post wounding (five time point) by calculating percentage closures (WCs) performing histological immunohistochemical staining sections tissue. Evaluations WCs examinations reepithelialisation, cellular content granulation tissue...

Some effective antithyroid drugs (ATDs) have been widely used for patients with Graves’ disease (GD) but are associated ATD-induced agranulocytosis. We selected 29 agranulocytosis patients, 44 neutropenia and 140 GD controls among the Chinese Han population who were recruited at First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiao Tong University. assessed their response to ATDs treatment by performing genotyping a candidate gene association study samples from receiving treatment. Abstract Objective Antithyroid drug (ATD)-induced agranulocytosis (TIA) is the most serious adverse effect during ATD treatment of Graves’ disease (GD). Previously, MICA gene was reported to be associated with TIA. protein an important ligand for NKG2D protein, which encoded by KLRK1 and KLRC4-KLRK1 read-through transcription. This study further investigated association between polymorphisms susceptibility Methods Twenty-eight candidate single nucleotide (SNPs) on transcription were...

Abstract Background Graves' disease (GD) is a clinical autoimmune thyroid disease. During the treatment of GD, antithyroid drug‐induced agranulocytosis (TIA) common and even life‐threatening adverse drug reaction. Previous studies suggested that susceptibility to TIA strongly associated with HLA‐B*27:05, HLA‐B*38:02, HLA‐DRB1*08:03 genetic variation six single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in MICA genes. Aims The purpose this study further associations between TIA, HLA‐B . Materials &...

Abstract Background Hypothyroidism is a key manifestation of autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD). Our previous research has found that low selenium (Se) status was linked to an elevated prevalence and incidence diseases. We hypothesized Se may also influence the restoration function. Thus, our study aims investigate factors affecting recovery function in patients with (sub-)clinical hypothyroidism, specific focus on status. Methods conducted 6-year prospective cohort comparing different...
