To evaluate the usefulness of a fasting plasma glucose (FPG) at 24-28 weeks' gestation to screen for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).The medical records and results 75-g 2-h oral tolerance test (OGTT) 24,854 pregnant women without known pre-GDM attending prenatal clinics in 15 hospitals China were examined.FPG cutoff value 5.1 mmol/L identified 3,149 (12.1%) with GDM. FPG 4.4 ruled out GDM 15,369 (38.2%) women. With use this point, 12.2% patients mild will be missed. The positive...

Oogenesis is a fundamental process of human reproduction, and mitochondria play crucial roles in oocyte competence. Mitochondrial ATP-dependent Lon protease 1 (LONP1) functions as critical protein maintaining mitochondrial cellular homeostasis somatic cells. However, the essential role LONP1 mammalian oogenesis far from elucidated.Using conditional Lonp1-knockout mice, RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) coimmunoprecipitation/liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (Co-IP/LC-MS) technology, we analysed...

<title>Abstract</title> Declined oocyte quality is the major contributor to female subfertility in aged mammals. Currently, there are no effective interventions ameliorate quality. We found that oocytes from mice exhibited lower levels of mevalonate (MVA) pathway metabolites, including farnesyl pyrophosphate (FPP) and geranylgeranyl (GGPP) reduced cortical F-actin. further demonstrated MVA supplementation improved FPP level, F-actin oocytes. Mechanistically, we induced granulosa cells...

The spatial variability of both meteorological and geographic features has a great influence on rainfall runoff process. When making flood forecasting, the this should be considered. In paper, distributed hydrological modeling technique was adopted to simulate discharge with consideration using DEMs remotely sensed data. our approach, grid based digital elevation data used for presentation watershed discretization deriving flow path system parameters. infiltration excess each hillslope cell...

Abstract Background: To investigate at what extent breastfeeding and vaginal delivery can increase mother-to-child transmission of cytomegalovirus (CMV) to observe the clinical outcomes postnatal CMV infection in infants. Methods: In this secondary study prospectively collected data serum samples, April 2012 through March 2015, 380 pregnant women with IgG positive/CMV IgM negative their 384 infants (4 twin pairs) gestational age ≥32 weeks were included. measured enzyme-linked immunosorbent...

Background: Passive-active immunoprophylaxis with hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIG) and vaccine is recommended to prevent mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of virus (HBV). China has taken a policy provide charge-free HBIG for infants HBV-infected mothers since July 2011. We analyzed HBV infection rate in children born before 2011 real-life practice. Methods: Totally 5149 5004 mothers, 1160 3989 2011, across Jiangsu province, China, were followed up markers at 0*6-8 years age from 2009 2018....

Abstract Embryo adhesion is a very important step in the embryo implantation process. Homeobox A10 (HOXA10), key transcriptional factor of endometrial receptivity, indispensable for adhesion. However, how to control activation status HOXA10 remains elusive. Here, we found that Mitogen-activated protein kinase 4 (MEKK4) was associated with and directly phosphorylated at threonine 362. This MEKK4-mediated phosphorylation enhanced HOXA10-mediated responses between epithelium. Specific deletion...
