Pyrethroid insecticides play very important roles in the control of pediculosis, which is caused by human head louse (Pediculus humanus capitis De Geer) worldwide. The development resistance to pyrethroid pediculicides has become a global issue during last two decades. associated with amino acid substitutions α-subunit para-sodium channel gene; these are termed kdr-like mutations. frequencies four mutations (D11E, M815I, T929I, and L932F) sodium gene were studied colonies collected from...
ABSTRACT Alopecia associated with lupus erythematosus is broadly classified into reversible nonscarring alopecia seen in the acute phase, such as worsening of systemic (SLE) and cicatricial chronic cutaneous represented by discoid (DLE). In DLE-induced alopecia, early therapeutic intervention before developing scarring important, but condition often resistant to conventional treatment. Anifrolumab (ANI), a novel agent for SLE that inhibits Type I interferon activity, has been shown be...

An immediate reaction was investigated during repeated challenge testing for contact hypersensitivity to dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) in BALB/c mice. The mice were sensitized DNFB on back skin and repeatedly challenged with the same hapten left ear at 1 week intervals. after 5th showed biphasic responses which consisted of an a delayed-type reaction. reactions specific. Mast cell-deficient WBB6F1 W/WV did not show any reaction, while congenic normal both reactions. Histologically, numerous...
Abstract We report a case of tick‐associated rash illness ( TARI ), new clinical entity erythema migrans associated with tick bite without infection Lyme borreliosis agent. The patient, 53‐year‐old man, went hiking in mountainous area Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture October 2012. On the first visit to our department at fifth day after hiking, an 10 cm recognized around site. He had no...
Abstract We investigated the optimum application for evaluating skin irritation response by using samples of irritants commonly used as additives in cosmetics and other common household products. studied 47 volunteers (16 men 31 women). selected three types surfactant, one moisturizer, anti‐infective agent oil solution. Using Finn chambers on Scanpor tape, we performed patch test. A total 0.015 mL each sample was applied to chamber. For liquids, circular filter paper soaked sample. Samples...
Abstract The mechanism of dermatitis induced by Euproctis caterpillars has not been fully clarified, although mechanical stimulation the spicules as well chemical irritation venomous components from have suggested to be involved. In this study, skin tests using and extract caterpillar E. pseudoconspersa were carried out on a subject. test site developed both immediate delayed‐type reactions. Next, crude was separated into 8 fractions (No. 1–8) gel filtration HPLC, each fraction performed in...
Dupilumab was effective for 53 patients with moderate-to-severe AD in our daily practice. TARC reduction, however, did not necessarily reflect improved AD.

The most important side effect of pirfenidone is photosensitivity caused by the phototoxic effect. Here, we report a rare case photosensitive drug eruption due to photoallergic reaction, which was proven through photopatch test and DLST. Pirfenidone medicine for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) released in 2008. exhibits both anti-inflammatory antifibrotic effects, thereby extends progression-free survival time patients with IPF.1 photosensitivity, whose incidence as high 51.7% clinical...
Abstract Recombinant human granulocyte colony‐stimulating factor (rhG‐CSF) induced cutaneous eruptions in two cases of acute myelogenous leukemia. In both cases, the appeared during rhG‐CSF therapy for neutropenia by remission‐induction chemotherapy and disappeared rapidly after discontinuance therapy. Histopathology those revealed dermal cell infiltrations consisting some neutrophils atypical cells. It was interesting that, although there were no leukemic cells peripheral blood or bone...
The first report of a human case black fly bite caused by Simulium quinquestriatum (Shiraki, 1935) in Japan is described. author (49 years old, male) as volunteer observed the blood-sucking female S. and course dermatitis induced bite. An erythematous macule with itching edema developed at next day inflammatory reaction was severe 2 to 3 days after skin symptoms gradually improved almost disappeared one month. This indicates that delayed-type hypersensitivity components saliva takes part reaction.
