Inhaled corticosteroids are effective antiinflammatory therapy for asthma; however, they do not completely abolish allergen-induced airway inflammation. Leukotriene modifiers attenuate both early and late allergen responses have properties. We reasoned that treatment with budesonide montelukast in combination might provide greater effects than either drug alone, the purpose of this study was to compare montelukast, alone or combination, on outcome variables after inhalation. Ten subjects...

Background and Purpose— Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) is a systemic disease characterized by mucocutaneous telangiectasias, epistaxis, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) rates in this population are not well described. We report ICH characteristics HHT patients with brain AVMs (HHT-BAVMs). Methods— studied the first 153 HHT-BAVM follow-up data enrolled Brain Vascular Malformation Consortium Project. estimated after BAVM diagnosis. Results— The...

She was subsequently diagnosed with antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) and received rituximab, potent B-cell suppressive agent. After therapy she developed Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) requiring hospitalization. discuss increasing literature use rituximab AMR need PJP prophylaxis in this setting.
