Severity prediction of COVID-19 remains one the major clinical challenges for ongoing pandemic. Here, we have recruited a 144 patient cohort, resulting in data matrix containing 3,065 readings 124 types measurements over 52 days. A machine learning model was established to predict disease progression based on cohort consisting training, validation, and internal test sets. panel eleven routine factors constructed classifier severity prediction, achieving accuracy 98% discovery set. Securely computing graph convolutional networks (GCNs) is critical for applying their analytical capabilities to privacy-sensitive data like social/credit networks. Multiplying a sparse yet large adjacency matrix of in GCN--a core operation training/inference--poses performance bottleneck secure GCNs. Consider GCN with $|V|$ nodes and $|E|$ edges; it incurs $O(|V|^2)$ communication overhead. Modeling bipartite graphs leveraging the monotonicity non-zero entry locations, we propose co-design...

RT-PCR is the primary method to diagnose COVID-19 and also used monitor disease course. This approach, however, suffers from false negatives due RNA instability poses a high risk medical practitioners. Here, we investigated potential of using serum proteomics predict viral nucleic acid positivity during COVID-19. We analyzed proteome 275 inactivated samples 54 out 144 patients shortlisted 42 regulated proteins in severe group 12 non-severe group. Using these several key clinical indexes,...

Interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R) is involved in the abnormal function of solid tumors, but role and regulatory mechanisms IL-7R HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are still unclear.Gene protein expression levels were examined hepatoma cells transfected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) plasmids multifunctional nonstructural X (HBX). The HBX was measured by immunohistochemical analysis HCC tissues. NF-κB Notch1 pathways HBX-mediated examined. Activation downstream intracellular signaling...

Abstract Objectives Interleukin‐34 (IL‐34) is associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the role mechanisms of IL‐34 in HBV‐related HCC remain unclear. In this study, expression, biological function cells were investigated. Methods expression induced by HBV X (HBX) gene was measured hepatoma cells. The CCAAT/enhancer‐binding protein α (CEBP/α) HBX‐induced examined. signal pathways involved CEBP/α HBX assessed. proliferation migration...

Background: Reconstituted lipoproteins (rLips) based on endogenous lipid nanostructures has been increasingly regarded as an excellent and promising antitumor drug delivery. However, some problems relating to the main component, apolipoprotein, for instance, rare source, unaffordable price, low specificity of relevant receptor expression, become chief obstacles its broad development application. Purpose: The primary aim this study is develop biomimetic rLips by utilizing folic acid...

Serum antibodies IgM and IgG are elevated during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) to defend against viral attacks. Atypical results such as negative abnormally high antibody expression were frequently observed whereas the underlying molecular mechanisms elusive. In our cohort of 144 COVID-19 patients, 3.5% both negative, 29.2% remained only negative. The remaining patients exhibited positive expression, with 9.3% them exhibiting over 20-fold higher titers than others at their plateau. in...
