A small private online course (SPOC) supports blended learning on a scale, enabling students to have more comprehensive and deeper experience. It also provides instructors with flexible feasible model better understand the students' needs supervise behaviors. In this study, we adopted SPOC flipped classroom teaching in physiology for clinical undergraduate of Kunming Medical University. Compared control group [lecture-based (LBL)], method significantly increased scores preclass test (65.13 ±...
Primary gastric and liver cancers rank among the most prevalent malignant tumors of digestive tract. Despite their serious implications for health, global age‑standardized incidence remains relatively low, at ~11.1 per 100,000 primary cancer ~8.657 cancer. Although occurrence multiple malignancies is not uncommon in clinical practice, reports synchronous are exceedingly rare. The present study describes a case involving 60‑year‑old man diagnosed with patient underwent endoscopic submucosal...
Semantic segmentation in biological images is increasingly common, particularly smart agriculture, where deep learning model precision tied to image labeling quality. However, research has largely focused on improving models rather than analyzing We proposed a method for quantitatively assessing quality semantically segmented using attribute agreement analysis. This evaluates variation, including internal, external, and overall quality, bias between results standards through case studies of...
Background/Aims: Paeoniflorin (PF) is known to have anti-inflammatory and paregoric effects, but the mechanism underlying its analgesic effect remains unclear. The aim of this study was clarify PF on Freund’s complete adjuvant (CFA)-induced inflammatory pain explore molecular mechanism. Methods: An model established by intraplantar injection CFA in C57BL/6J mice. After intrathecal daily for 8 consecutive days, thermal mechanical withdrawal thresholds, levels factors TNF-α, IL-1β IL-6,...
N-Methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptors play critical roles in complex brain functions as well pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. There are many NMDA isoforms and subunit types that, together with subtype-specific assembly, give rise to significant functional heterogeneity receptors. Conventional obligatory heterotetramers composed two glycine-binding NR1 subunits glutamate-binding NR2 subunits. When individually expressed heterogeneous cells, most the splice variants remain...
Three new meroterpenoids, named austalides S-U (1-3), were isolated from the culture of a sponge-derived fungus Aspergillus aureolatus HDN14-107, together with eleven known derivates (4-14). Their structures, including absolute configurations, assigned on basis NMR, MS data, and TDDFT ECD calculations. Compound 1 is first case terpene ring fused to chroman in trans configuration. Compounds 3 5 exhibited activities against influenza virus A (H1N1), IC50 values 90 99 μM, respectively.
Nine previously undescribed prenylated p-terphenyls, prenylterphenyllins F–J (1, 2, 4–6) and prenylcandidusins D–G (3, 7–9), were isolated from an endophytic fungus, Aspergillus candidus LDJ-5. Their structures determined NMR MS data. Differing reported compound 3 represents a rare 6,5,6,6-fused ring system. Compounds 4–6 are antimicrobial, compounds 1, 4, 6, 9 cytotoxic.
Six new angucycline derivatives, named monacycliones G–K (1–5) and ent-gephyromycin A (6), as well three known ones (7–9) were discovered from the marine sediment-derived actinomycete Streptomyces sp. HDN15129 guided by Global Natural Products Social (GNPS) molecular networking. Structures including absolute configurations elucidated extensive NMR, MS, ECD analyses. Among them, monacyclione G (1) possesses a unique scaffold featuring xanthone core linked to aminodeoxysugar ossamine, H–J...
Abstract BACKGROUND Ginger and its extracts have been frequently used in food processing pharmaceuticals. However, the influence of ginger key compounds on benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) production meat has not investigated. The purpose this study was to explore effect application important active ingredients BaP formation mechanism inhibiting charcoal‐grilled pork sausages. RESULTS DPPH scavenging (23.59–59.67%) activity inhibition rate (42.1–68.9%) were significantly increased ( P < 0.05) with...
Zinc distributes widely in the central nervous system, especially hippocampus, amygdala and cortex. The dynamic balance of zinc is critical for neuronal functions. modulates activity N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors (NMDARs) through direct inhibition various intracellular signaling pathways. Abnormal NMDAR activities have been implicated aetiology many brain diseases. Sustained accumulation extracellular fluid known to link pathological conditions. However, mechanism linking this chronic...
This study aimed to investigate the extract with high antioxidant activity of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum Diels et Gilg and identify components in vitro. α, α-Diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical assay, Trolox equivalent capacity (TEAC) ferric reducing power (FRAP), hydroxyl scavenging method were used screen activity. The extracts was evaluated by free ability DPPH. scavenge 2, 2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) TEAC assay. FRAP evaluate reduce Fe3+. radicals...
