Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) is a rare genetic condition characterized by extremely increased low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels and premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Heterozygous (HeFH) more common than HoFH, women with HeFH are diagnosed later undertreated compared to men; it unknown whether these sex differences also apply HoFH.

Hiller. Ergebnisse und Diskussion Durchschnittliche Item-Trennschärfe...

Bone marrow is an important source of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and a promising tool for cytotherapy. MSC utilization limited by low cell yields obtained under standard isolation protocols. Herein, used bone collection sets were evaluated as valuable MSCs. Adherent washed from the examined widely accepted criteria defining Significant numbers (median 9million per set in passage 1) with colony-forming activity high proliferative potential at seeding densities obtained. These positive...

This study aimed to develop polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) -based scaffold enriched with hyaluronic acid (HA) and hydroxyapatite (HAp) using physical crosslinking by freezing–thawing method. We accomplished biological evaluation of scaffolds, swelling degree, bioactivity assessment, hemolytic test. The results showed that all types scaffolds should be safe for use in the human body. culturing osteoblast-like cells MG-63 their proliferation better adhesion due presence HA confirmed depending on...

Abstract Hyaluronan‐based tissue substitutes are promising materials in cartilage reconstruction surgery. Herein, the chondrogenesis of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) a hydrogel based on tyramine derivative hyaluronan crosslinked by hydrogen peroxidase (HA‐TA) was evaluated. Human MSC seeded scaffold were incubated standard chondrogenic medium and enriched with bone morphogenetic protein‐6 (BMP6). Cell viability, gene expression selected markers (collagen type II, aggrecan, SOX9,...

An XML transformation, commonly specified in XSLT, is an important step during XML-based data migration. Since common XSLT processors always parse input into DOM-like structure, processing of large sets to be migrated represents a significant problem; all available memory can exhausted, the trans-formation takes unacceptable long time, or even fail. In this survey we explore current state-of-the-art transformation on and present performance comparison DOM-based as well streaming STX...
