The role of miR-26a in carcinogenesis appears to be a complicated one, the sense that both oncogenic and tumor suppressive effects were reported cancers such as glioblastoma hepatocellular carcinoma, respectively. Here, we report for first time is downregulated breast cancer specimens cell lines its transient transfection initiates apoptosis line MCF7 cells. Furthermore, retrovirus-delivered impairs vitro colony forming vivo tumor-loading ability Subsequently, MTDH EZH2 are identified two...
Cardiovascular complications are common after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and associated with increased morbidity mortality. In this study, we investigated the possible role of immune system in mediating cardiac dysfunction post-TBI mice. Adult male C57BL/6J mice were subjected to a TBI model controlled cortical impact (CCI) or without splenectomy (n = 20/group). Splenectomy was performed immediately prior induction TBI. Cardiac function measured using echocardiography Neurological...
In patients who are successfully resuscitated after initial cardiac arrest (CA), mortality and morbidity rates high, due to ischemia/reperfusion injury the whole body including nervous immune systems. How interactions between these two critical systems contribute post-CA outcome remains largely unknown. Using a mouse model of CA cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CA/CPR), we demonstrate that CA/CPR induced neuroinflammation in brain, particular, marked increase pro-inflammatory cytokines, which...
Aberrant activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) has been observed in a wide range human cancers and is thought to promote tumorigenesis metastasis. As central component NF-κB pathway, p65 protein level tightly regulated could be subjected proteasome degradation. Here we demonstrated that can bind HSC70 with four consensus recognition motif its RHD domain constitutively transported the lysosome membrane lysosome-associated type 2A degraded within two epithelial cell lines, proposing by...
Background Ischemia/reperfusion injury impairs proteostasis, and triggers adaptive cellular responses, such as the unfolded protein response (UPR), which functions to restore endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis. After cardiac arrest (CA) resuscitation, UPR is activated in various organs including brain. However, role of CA has remained largely unknown. Here we aimed investigate effects activation ATF6 (activating transcription factor 6) branch CA. Methods Results Conditional inducible sATF6-KI...
Nitric oxide (NO), as a gaseous therapeutic agent, shows great potential for the treatment of many kinds diseases. Although various NO delivery systems have emerged, immunogenicity and long-term toxicity artificial carriers hinder clinical translation these gas therapeutics. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), with capacities self-renewal, differentiation, low immunogenicity, been used living carriers. However, MSCs signaling molecule (GSM) not reported. In this study, human were genetically...
Background The mechanisms underlying worse outcome at advanced age after cardiac arrest ( CA ) and resuscitation are not well understood. Because protein homeostasis (proteostasis) is essential for cellular organismal health, but impaired , we investigated the effects of on proteostasis-related prosurvival pathways activated . Methods Results Young (2-3 months old) aged (21-22 male C57Bl/6 mice were subjected to cardiopulmonary CPR ). Functional organ damage evaluated by assessing neurologic...
Rapid, direct, and trace detection of explosives in an open environment is particular need homeland and/or transportation security. In this work, aerodynamic assisted thermo desorption mass spectrometry method was developed for the direct quantitative analyses from a distance. Remote non‐volatile explosive sensing achieved 2, 4, 6‐trinitrotoluene, trinitrohexahydro‐1, 3, 5‐triazine, 8701 (main ingredient: RDX 98.5%), C4 (a type plastic explosive) with distance 0.65 m. Furthermore, close to...
Objective: Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is the critical regulator of proliferation, differentiation, and survival granulocytes. Recently, it has been shown that G-CSF can adversely affect bone health in both animal models patients. Here, authors aimed to investigate whether could inhibit growth osteoblasts osteocytes by regulating nitric oxide. Methods: The C57BL/6 mice were divided into control group, treatment group recovery (G-CSF+L-NAME). morphology femurs was assessed...
A longer period of vessel occlusion reduces the coefficient variation infarct lesion size ['infarct coefficient' (IVC)] due to a gradual expansion within limited territory defined by vascular anatomy, but it increases mortality rate. crucial issue in induction experimental focal cerebral ischemia has been achieve low IVC value and We attempted improve using 3-vessel model. We introduced new, transtemporal fascia approach expose zygomatic arch, which temporal muscle is cut retracted dorsally...
Echinococcosis is a serious parasitic disease caused by Echinococcus tapeworms. Protoscoleces are sometimes released during surgical treatment for hydatid cysts, causing the recurrence of echinococcosis. may be susceptible to radiation therapy. In this study protoscoleces were cultured in vitro and then divided into four different γ -ray irradiation dose groups (10 Gy, 20 40 80 Gy) blank group. The implanted abdominal cavity mice. Four months later, we observed that incidence weight cysts...
Scavenger receptor that binds phosphatidylserine and oxidized lipoprotein/CXC chemokine ligand 16 (SR-PSOX/CXCL16) promotes foam cell formation through the tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha mediated mechanism. Because CXCL16 could be expressed in atherosclerotic lesions induce smooth muscle (SMC) proliferation, we presume monocyte SR-PSOX/CXCL16 detection patients' peripheral blood will important for early diagnosis prognosis of atherosclerosis (AS).Enrolled this study were 40 patients with...
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) evokes neurological deficits and induces cardiac dysfunction. Treatment with human umbilical cord blood cells (HUCBCs) represents a potential therapeutic strategy for TBI-induced deficits. The present study aimed to determine whether HUCBCs could ameliorate the dysfunction induced by TBI.Adult male C57BL/6J mice were subjected controlled cortical impact (CCI)-induced TBI treated either (1×106) or phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), via tail vein injections, 3 days...
Bone morphogenesis proteins (BMPs) are one of the potent bone-forming factors. However, safety, utility, and cost effectiveness BMPs must be considered. Nowadays, there has been substantial interest in developing a chemical compound that safely promotes bone formation facilitates fracture repair. Based on previous research with high throughout screening assay, we found osteogenic inductive compound, named as OIC-A006 (Osteogenic inducible compound-active 006), which is classified amine...
