Abstract A series of β‐carboline hybrids bearing a substituted phenyl and chalcone/( N‐ acetyl)‐pyrazole moiety at the C1 C3 positions, respectively, was designed, synthesized, evaluated for anticancer activity. These new hybrid molecules showed significant cytotoxic activity, with IC 50 values ranging from <2.0 μ M to 80 , structure–activity relationships (SAR) associated substitutions positions 1 3 these clearly addressed. Further, induction apoptosis confirmed by Annexin V‐FITC,...

Abstract Copper oxide nanoparticles that are supported on graphene as a catalytic system have been utilized for ligand‐free and solvent‐free CS cross‐coupling reactions with weak bases such triethylamine. Symmetrical/unsymmetrical aryl sulfides synthesized by the coupling of different halides aromatic well aliphatic sulfides. Surprisingly, chlorides also reacted types in presence dimethyl sulfoxide cesium carbonate. Besides, this is suitable synthesis phenothiazines via cascade CN ortho...

Hypnea musciformis red seaweed is popularly known to produce carrageenan was collected from the Gulf of Mannar, India. Strain HMGM-7 [MTCC 11712] isolated surface this seaweed, which capable producing an extracellular black-coloured polymeric pigment. Based on phenotypic characterization and 16S rDNA sequencing, strain identified as Pseudomonas stutzeri. Biophysical by UV–visible, FT-IR, EPR XRD spectroscopic studies confirmed pigment melanin. Further chemical showed that it acid-resistant,...

The interactions of three related cationic porphyrins, TMPyP4, TMPyP3 and TMPyP2, with a WT 39-mer Bcl-2 promoter sequence G-quadruplex were studied using Circular Dichroism, ESI mass spectrometry, Isothermal Titration Calorimetry, Fluorescence spectroscopy. planar porphyrin TMPyP4 (5, 10, 15, 20-meso-tetra (N-methyl-4-pyridyl) porphine) is shown to bind via two different binding modes, an end mode weaker attributed intercalation. non-planar ligands, are the by single mode. spectrometry...

ABSTRACT Xanthomonadins are membrane-bound, brominated, aryl-polyene pigments specific to the genus Xanthomonas . We have characterized a genetic locus ( pig ) from oryzae pv. which contains four open reading frames (ORFs) that essential for xanthomonadin production. Three of these ORFs homologous acyl carrier proteins, dehydratases, and transferases, suggesting type II polyketide synthase pathway biosynthesis. The fourth ORF has no homologue in database. For first time, we report putative...
