In this present study, we proposed a smart biomineralization method for creating hybrid organic–inorganic nanoflowers using Co2+-dependent enzyme (D-psicose 3-epimerase; DPEase) as the organic component and cobalt phosphate inorganic component. The prepared have many separated petals that nanometer size. Under optimum conditions (60 °C pH of 8.5), nanoflower can display its maximum activity (36.2 U/mg), which is about 7.2-fold higher than free DPEase. Furthermore, immobilized DPEase presents...

Lignocellulosic feedstocks have attracted much attention as a potential carbon source for lactic acid (LA) production because of their ready availability, sustainability, and renewability. However, there are at least two major technical challenges to producing LA from lignocellulose. Inhibitors derived lignocellulose pretreatment negative impact on the growth cells LA. Furthermore, pentose sugars produced difficultly utilized by most producers, which is known catabolite repression (CCR)...

Synonymous mutation of the N-terminal coding sequence (NCS) has been used to regulate gene expression. We here developed a statistical model predict effect NCSs on protein expression in Bacillus subtilis WB600. First, synonymous was performed within first 10 residues superfolder green fluorescent generate library 172 NCS mutants with different levels. A prediction then developed, which adopted G/C frequency at third position each codon and minimum free energy mRNA as independent variables,...

In this study, a series of super-toughened poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/cross-linked polyurethane (CPU) blends were prepared via one-step dynamic vulcanization PLA, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and isophorone diisocyanate trimer (IPDIT).FTIR gel tests displayed that the CPU was successfully generated during reaction. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images cryo-fractured impacted surfaces showed PLA/CPU had no obvious phase separation, which indicated good compatibility between PLA component...

Low expression levels and inflexible induction initiation have been the main obstacles to produce proteins using bacterial quorum sensing (QS). The typical QS system in Bacillus subtilis, ComQXPA, activates promoter PsrfA ComX ComA as an auto-inducer a activator, respectively. Here, we developed series of flexible autoinduction systems B. subtilis WB600 based on ComQXPA super-folder green fluorescent protein reporter. −35 region was replaced with corresponding conserved sequences...

The scarcity, richness, and other important physiological functions of D-psicose make it crucial to increase the yield D-psicose. production can be accomplished by 3-epimerase (DPEase) from Clostridium bolteae (CbDPEase) catalyzing substrate D-fructose. Although catalytic efficiency CbDPEase has been raised via using site-directed mutagenesis (Y68I/G109P) technique, structure-activity relationship in wild-type Y68I/G109P mutant is currently poorly understood. In our study, a battery...

Abstract In this study, ionic liquid-based sugaring-out extraction was developed to separate lactic acid from the synthetic solution and actual lignocellulosic fermentation broth. Except for [E OH mim]BF 4 , ILs with BF − OTF anion can form aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) aid of saccharides. With same kind saccharides, ATPS formation ability could be promoted by increasing side-chain length in order [Hmim]BF ≈ [Bmim]BF ˃ [Emim]BF due decrease ILs’ kosmotropicity. On other hand, type ILs, an...
