The origin of Langerhans cells (LCs), which are skin epidermis-resident macrophages, remains unclear. Current lineage tracing LCs largely relies on the promoter-Cre-LoxP system, often gives rise to contradictory conclusions with different promoters. Thus, reinvestigation an improved method is necessary. Here, using a laser-mediated temporal-spatial resolved cell labeling method, we demonstrated that most adult originated from ventral wall dorsal aorta (VDA), equivalent mouse aorta, gonads,...

Microsatellites are highly polymorphic repeat sequences ubiquitously interspersed throughout almost all genomes which widely used as powerful molecular markers in diverse fields. Microsatellite expansions play pivotal roles gene expression regulation and implicated various neurological diseases cancers. Although much effort has been devoted to developing efficient tools for microsatellite identification, there is still a lack of tool large-scale analysis. We present Krait2, user-friendly...

Gut microbiome (GM) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have two-way effects. Improving T2DM by modulating GM in various ways, such as diet, exercise, medication, is gradually becoming popular, related studies yielded positive results. However, there still a lack of high-quality bibliometric analyses research this area. This study aims to systematize comprehensively summarize the knowledge structure, tropics, trends through analysis. Publications before January 9, 2024, Web Science Core...

Scaffold materials, neurotrophic factors, and seed cells are three elements of neural tissue engineering. As well-known self-assembling peptide-based hydrogels, RADA16-I modified peptides attractive matrices for In addition to its neuroprotective effects, cerebral dopamine factor (CDNF) has been reported promote the proliferation, migration, differentiation stem (NSCs). However, role combined with CDNF on NSCs remains unknown. First, effect hydrogel proliferation cultured was investigated....

Heading from optic flow, bearing, and splay angle information can all be used for lane keeping on a straight path. Here we investigated the relative contributions of these three visual cues to accurate lane-keeping control in novel way. The displays simulated observers steering vehicle down path defined by pair posts (providing bearing angles only) or segment edges angles) at fixed viewing distance, ground contained no sparse dense flow. Observers joystick vehicle's lateral movement stay...

How does visual path information influence people's perception of their instantaneous direction self-motion (heading)? We have previously shown that humans can perceive heading without direct access to information. Here we vary two key parameters for estimating from optic flow, the field view (FOV) and depth range environmental points, investigate conditions under which influences human perception. The display simulated an observer traveling on a circular path. Observers used joystick rotate...

Reflective twisted nematic displays where the output polarizer is eliminated are analyzed and demonstrated. The absence of rear has many advantages, including much higher brightness resolution. In this article, we examine solution space for design such reflective displays. Both cases a simple display use retardation film within to compensate color dispersion explored. It shown that excellent black white can be obtained using compensation. Experimentally, over 90% reflectance from compensated...

We examined both the sufficiency of optic-flow velocity field and influence information beyond on active control heading. The display simulated a vehicle traveling circular path through random-dot 3D cloud under static or dynamic scene in which dots were periodically redrawn to remove field. Participants used joystick, either acceleration dynamics, steer align orientation with their perceived heading while experiencing random perturbations orientation. Frequency–response (Bode) plots show...

Preeclampsia is a common disease unique to pregnant women, and its development involves many genetics l factors. IL-4 an important regulatory factor of the Th2 cellular immune response, plays role in induction placental growth. In this study, we investigated relationship between C-590T, C+33T G-1098T polymorphisms risk pre-eclampsia population women. A case-control study 196 women with 257 healthy controls was conducted. Interleukin-34 (IL-34) is a known cytokine that plays an important role in the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of macrophages. In previous studies, IL-34 can induce macrophage migration through syndecan-1 or focal adhesion kinase extracellular signal-related 1 2 pathway. These studies mainly focused on vitro experiments, but effect vivo less understood. our study, we artificially induced macrophage, not neutrophil, enrichment skin liver by overexpressing epidermal cells...

Microglia are tissue-resident macrophages in the central nervous system (CNS) that play essential roles regulation of CNS development and homeostasis. Yet, genetic networks governing microglia remain incompletely defined. Here, we report identification characterization a microglia-defective zebrafish mutant wulonghkz12 (wulhkz12) isolated from an ethylnitrosourea (ENU)-based screen. We show wulhkz12 mutants harbors missense point mutation gene region encoding PRY/SPRY domain tripartite-motif...

Abstract— A generalized mixed twisted‐nematic/birefringent‐effect mode reflective LCD is presented. This new encompasses all previously published nematic modes and clearly shown on the parameter space diagrams. We also discuss how to obtain operating conditions of this mixed‐mode display with large cell gaps, low color dispersion, high contrast at voltages. particularly suitable for crystalline‐silicon‐backplane active‐matrix LCDs.

Animals evolve diverse pigment patterns to adapt the natural environment. Countershading, characterized by a dark-colored dorsum and light-colored ventrum, is one of most prevalent observed in vertebrates. In this study, we reveal mechanism regulating xanthophore countershading zebrafish embryos. We found that csf1a csf1b mutants altered differently: lack ventral xanthophores, while have reduced dorsal xanthophores. Further study revealed expressed throughout trunk, whereas dorsally.
