Cluster of differentiation 44 (CD44) as a transmembrane glycoprotein is found to be expressed in non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), significantly associated with NSLC progression, metastasis and drug resistance. This study aimed explore whether CD44 inhibition improves the sensitivity epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) wild‑type NSCLC cells cisplatin how it affects EGFR cells. Small interfering RNA was used knockdown expression line H460. Results suggested that downregulation reduced...

Abstract Background The management of metastatic cancer remains a major challenge in therapy worldwide. targeted delivery chemotherapeutic drugs through rationally designed formulations is one potential therapeutic option. Notably, excipient-free nanodispersions that are entirely composed pharmaceutically active molecules have been evaluated as promising candidates for the next generation drug formulations. Formulated from self-assembly molecules, these enable safe and effective to local...

Herein, we firstly reported a series of biphenyl compounds bearing hydroxamic acid moiety as PD-L1/class I HDACs dual inhibitors. Among them, compound 14 displayed the strongest inhibitory activity in vitro against HDAC2 and HDAC3 with IC50 values 27.98 nM 14.47 nM, had an value 88.10 for PD-1/PD-L1 interaction. Importantly, could upregulate expression PD-L1 CXCL10 low-expression cancer cell line (MCF-7), highlighting potential to enhance efficacy by recruiting T-cell infiltration into TME...

In this study, we explored the circular RNA (circRNA) profile in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients caused by chronic obstructive disease (COPD) and effects of hsa_circNFXL1_009 on abnormal proliferation, apoptosis, migration human smooth muscle cells (hPASMCs) driven hypoxia. Using microarrays, screened circRNA whole-blood samples from three pairs subjects found 158 dysregulated circRNAs with PAH-COPD. Rho family GTPases are critical regulators of many important cellular processes and the dysregulation their activities is implicated in a variety human diseases including oncogenesis propagation malignancy. The traditional methods, such as "pull-down" or two-hybrid procedures, poorly suited to dynamically evaluate activity GTPases, especially living mammalian cells. To provide novel alternative approach analyzing GTPase-associated signaling pathways vivo, we developed series bioluminescent...

Both circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) play an important role in invasion, migration chemoresistant development. This study aimed to detect whether EMT occurred human gastric CTCs explore the mechanism of CTCs. We analysed epithelial markers (pan-CK, E-cadherin), mesenchymal (N-cadherin, vimentin) related miR‑200s, Akt The impact miR‑200s on EMT, invasion was tested. found that pan-CK, E-cadherin were decreased, N-cadherin, vimentin overexpressed...

An efficient divergent approach of Pd-catalyzed C-H oxygenation polyaromatic rings is described. Reversible directing groups enable regiospecific peri- and ortho-oxygenation to readily access a wide array phenols without pre- postmanipulation groups. The systematic mechanistic investigation, including deuterium-labeling experiments, palladacycle trapping, DFT calculations, reveals that the tunable ligand-assisted bond cleavage played crucial role during reaction process.
