To further improve the intrinsic reactivity of single-atom catalysts (SACs), controllable modification a single site by coordinating with second neighboring metal atom, developing double-atom (DACs), affords new opportunities. Here we report catalyst that features two bonded Fe-Co double atoms, which is well represented an FeCoN6(OH) ensemble 100% dispersion, work together to switch reaction mechanism in alcohol dehydrogenation under oxidant-free conditions. Compared Fe-SAC and Co-SAC,...

A new palladium-catalyzed three-component coupling involving acylation/alkenylation of aryl iodide is reported. The reaction was carried out with readily available starting materials and gave the ortho-acylated styrene in moderate to good yields. Compared previous Catellani–Lautens reactions, this first example introducing an acyl group at ortho position iodides. proposed PdIV complex, generated via oxidative addition carboxylic anhydrides, a key intermediate for transformation.

This report describes a carboxylate ligand exchange strategy that was used to achieve Catellani reaction consisting of amination/unactivated aliphatic C–H arylation. Pivalic acid as an additive could effectively promote activation unactivated alkanes without affecting the key five-membered aryl-norbornene–palladacycle (ANP) intermediate. Importantly, demonstrates high regioselectivity for primary carbon. Following ortho-amination, carboxylic found coordinate palladium in bidentate fashion,...

This report describes the first example of palladium-catalyzed ortho-C–H glycosylation/ipso-alkenylation aryl iodides, and easily accessible glycosyl chlorides are used as a glycosylation reagent. The reaction is compatible with functional groups substrates, series C-aryl glycosides have been synthesized in good to excellent yield diastereoselectivity. It found that cheap 5-norbornene-2-carbonitrile transient mediator can effectively promote this reaction. In addition, ipso-arylation...

Major depression is a serious global health concern; however, the pathophysiology underlying this condition remains unclear. While numerous studies have focused on brain-specific mechanisms, few evaluated role of peripheral organs in depression. Here, we show that liver activates an intrinsic metabolic pathway can modulate depressive-like behavior.
