Importance
Feeding intolerance is a common condition among preterm infants owing to immaturity of the gastrointestinal tract. Enteral insulin appears promote intestinal maturation. The concentration in human milk declines rapidly post partum and absent formula; therefore, recombinant (rh) for enteral administration as supplement formula may reduce feeding infants.
Objective
To assess efficacy safety 2 different dosages rh both formula.
Design, Setting, Participants
...

A cross-sectional single-center study was designed to compare the fatty acids profile, particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) levels, between milk banking samples of donor human and mother’s own (MOM) for feeding preterm infants born before 32 weeks’ gestation. MOM from 118 mothers included colostrum (1–7 days after delivery), transitional (9–14 days), mature (15–28 ≥29 days). In n-3 polyunsaturated (PUFAs) group, levels α-linolenic (C18:3 n3) DHA (C22:6 showed opposite trends, whereas...

The panel included families components saturated (SFAs), monounsaturated (MUFAs), n-6 n-3 polyunsaturated (PUFAs) as well enzyme activity indexes ratios. At birth, comparison acid between term showed significantly higher content SFAs PUFAs, lower...

Objective: Intrauterine-growth restriction is associated with impaired neurodevelopment. However, studies on early childhood neurodevelopment of premature infants placenta-related intrauterine-growth (IUGR) are scarce and heterogeneous. We aimed to analyze the impact IUGR preschool age in preterm infants, ascertain which prenatal postnatal factors influence these infants. Methods: Prospective cohorts study: 48 25 matched non-IUGR (mean gestational age: 31.4 31.6 weeks, respectively)....

In first, this allowed tracheotomy be performed, and in second, correction tracheal displacement subsequent nasotracheal intubation was achieved.
