Cytomegalovirus (CMV) drug resistance is a therapeutic challenge in the transplant setting. No longitudinal cohort studies of CMV real-life setting have been published valganciclovir era. We report findings for French multicentre prospective 346 patients enrolled at initial diagnosis infection (clinical trial registered clinicaltrials.gov: NCT01008540). Patients were monitored detection ≥2 years. Real-time by UL97 and UL54 gene sequencing antiviral phenotyping was performed if viral...

Humoral response against sudden acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) after two doses of BNT162b2 (Pfizer-BioNTech) has been proven to be less intense in maintenance dialysis patients as compared with healthy subjects, leading the French authorities recommend a third injection this population. Here we investigated cohorts haemodialysis (HD) patients.Data from prospective observational were collected. In first ('systematic') cohort, HD centres (n = 66) received BNT162b2,...

Abstract Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) infections are associated with severe respiratory disease and acute flaccid myelitis (AFM). The European Non-Polio Network (ENPEN) aimed to investigate the epidemiological genetic characteristics of EV-D68 its clinical impact during fall-winter season 2021–2022. From 19 countries, 58 institutes reported 10 481 (6.8%) EV-positive samples which 1004 (9.6%) were identified as (including 852 samples). Clinical data for 969 cases; 78.9% in children (0–5 years);...

ABSTRACT During the last decade, growing efforts have focused on human papillomavirus (HPV) detection using liquid hybridization, conventional PCR, and real-time PCR-based methods to increase overall proportion of patients participating in cervical cancer screening procedures. We proposed a new general HPV DNA PCR Mx4000 (Stratagene) LightCycler (Roche Diagnostics) systems usable for both scrape specimens urine samples. SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection induces heterogeneous symptoms, ranging from asymptomatic to lethal forms. Severe forms usually occur in the elderly and/or individuals with comorbidities. Children generally remain primary infection, suggesting that they may have an effective local innate immune response. IFN-I and -III non-redundant protective roles against SARS-CoV-2, although sometimes damaging host. The expression role of anti-viral peptides during thus far been little studied. We aimed...

Methods All patients (729) included in derivation population had chronic hepatitis C, liver biopsy, 6 blood tests Fibroscan. Validation populations 1584 patients. Results The most accurate combination...

We described the natural polymorphism of cytomegalovirus DNA polymerase in 42 unrelated isolates susceptible to ganciclovir, foscarnet, and cidofovir. All variations, including an eight-amino-acid deletion, were located between domains delta-C II III I, suggesting that these specific residues are not involved enzymatic functions.
