Abstract Silica nanoparticles (SiNPs) have been reported to induce pulmonary fibrosis (PF) with an unknown mechanism. Recently, the activation of autophagy, a lysosome-dependent cell degradation pathway, by SiNPs has identified in alveolar epithelial cells (AECs). However, underlying mechanism and relevance SiNPs-induced autophagy development PF remain elusive. Here, we report that dysfunction subsequent apoptosis AECs are involved PF. engulfed enhance autophagosome accumulation both vivo...

Abstract Background Recently studies had showed that the amygdala may take part in cognitive impairment schizophrenia (SC). However, mechanism is still unclear, so we explored relationship between resting state magnetic resonance imaging (rsMRI) signal and function, to provide a reference for follow-up study. Methods We collected 59 drug-naïve SCs 46 healthy controls (HCs) from Third People’s Hospital of Foshan. The rsMRI technique automatic segmentation tool were used extract volume...

Autosomal dominant tubulointerstitial kidney disease due to UMOD mutations (ADTKD-UMOD) results in chronic interstitial nephritis, which gradually develops into end-stage renal disease. It is believed that the accumulation of mutant uromodulin causes endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, then leads damage. But underlying mechanism remains unclear. To find ADTKD-UMOD patients, gene screening was performed 26 patients with unexplained during past 10 years our department, and among them three...
