Abstract Piezocatalytic Fenton (PF) system emerges as a promising approach to wastewater treatment by leveraging piezocatalysis enhance Fenton‐like reactions. However, conventional piezocatalysts encounter challenges because they often compromise catalytic properties in biased favor of superior piezoelectricity, resulting sluggish kinetics. To tackle this trade‐off, here novel class kesterite‐type narrow bandgap piezoelectrics, Cu 2 XSnS 4 (CXTS, X = Zn, Ni, Co), is developed for PF...

Abstract Endothelial cells express neuropilin 1 (NRP1), endoglin (ENG) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), which regulate VEGF-A-mediated development angiogenesis. However, the link between complex formation among these receptors with VEGF-A-induced signaling biology is yet unclear. Here, we quantify surface interactions by IgG-mediated immobilization of one receptor, fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) measurements mobility another coexpressed receptor....

A new synthetic method for disulfides and 3-sulfenylchromones is reported. This innovative approach based on the tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI)/H 2 SO 4 reduction system using sodium sulfinate as key component, thus eliminating need thiols redox reagents commonly used in traditional methods. Various were obtained moderate to excellent yields through this methodology. Mechanistic studies indicate that thiosulfonates play an important role reaction process.

Excessive inflammatory response after severe scalding is an important cause of delayed wound healing and even life-threatening. Tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) a key pro-inflammatory skin trauma. Interacting with tumor receptor 1 (TNF-R1), TNF-α causes excessive inflammation poor prognosis by activating NF-κB pathway. Antagonizing high levels one the therapeutic approaches for diseases associated overactivation responses. However, available monoclonal antibodies are limited in their...

Photoaging is not only the main cause of skin aging caused by exogenous factors, it also related to a variety diseases and even malignant tumors. Excessive repeated exposure ultraviolet radiation, especially UVA induces oxidative stress, DNA damage, inflammation, collagen elastin degeneration, ultimately leads photoaging, manifested redness, coarse wrinkles, pigmentation cancer. There has been large demand effective prevention medications but approaches in current management photoaging are...

The KTK 4A-related Thermoplasmata thrives in the sediment of saline lakes; however, systematic research on its taxonomy, environmental adaptation and metabolism is lacking. Here, we detected this abundant lineage five artificially separated ponds (salinity 7.0%-33.0%) within a Chinese soda-saline lake using culture-independent metagenomics archaeal 16S rRNA gene amplicons. phylogenies based gene, 122 ubiquitous single-copy proteins genome-level identity analyses among metagenome-assembled...

Castration therapy in advanced prostate cancer eventually fails and leads to the development of castration-resistant (CRPC), which has no cure. Characteristic features CRPC can be increased androgen receptor (AR) expression altered transcriptional output. We investigated nuclear corepressor 1 (NCOR1) human role NCOR1 response antiandrogens.NCOR1 protein levels were compared between matched normal 409 patient samples. knockdown was used investigate its effect on bicalutamide...

Thermal stabilizers, lubricant, and plasticizers are three crucial additives for processing poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). In this study, a new mannitol stearate ester-based aluminum alkoxide (MSE-Al) was designed synthesized as novel additive PVC. The thermal stability performance of PVC stabilized by MSE-Al were evaluated the Congo red test, conductivity measurement, aging ultravioletevisible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy torque rheometer test. Results showed that addition could not only markedly...

The development of aqueous sodium-ion batteries (ASIBs) has been greatly restricted as a result their narrow electrochemical stability window (ESW) (about 1.23 V). Many researchers attempt to expand the ESW using high concentrations electrolyte solution or choosing titanium other inert materials collectors. However, these methods would lead higher battery costs. In this work, we demonstrated low-cost ASIB system, in which cathode, anode, and were applied by graphene oxide (GO)-modified...

Primary dysmenorrhea is one of the most common reasons for gynecologic visits, but due to lack suitable animal models, pathologic mechanisms and related drug development are limited. Herein, we establish a new mouse model which can mimic periodic occurrence primary solve this problem. Non-pregnant female mice were pretreated with estradiol benzoate 3 consecutive days. After that, injected oxytocin simulate menstrual pain on 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th days (four estrus cycles). Assessment...
