The cancer burden in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) deserves more attention. However, global statistics for AYAs are often presented as aggregates, concealing important heterogeneity. This study aimed to describe the worldwide profile of incidence, mortality, corresponding trends from 1990 2019 among 15-39-year olds by focusing on patterns age, sex, sociodemographic index (SDI), regions.Global, regional, country data number cases cancer-related deaths 29 types were collected Global...

Exosomes derived from tumor cells (TEXs) are involved in both immune suppression, angiogenesis, metastasis and anticancer stimulatory, but the biological characteristics role of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL)-derived exosomes have been less investigated. (EXOs) were isolated OCI-LY3, SU-DHL-16, Raji EXOs investigated using electron microscopy, flow cytometry analysis, Western blot analysis. The protein expression was determined by an antibody array. Next, communication between cell,...

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells represent a potentially curative therapy for patients with advanced hematological cancers; however, uncertainties surround the cell-intrinsic fitness as well exhaustion that restrict capacity of CAR-T. Decitabine (DAC), DNA demethylating agent, has been demonstrated to reverse exhaustion-associated DNA-methylation programs and improve cell responses against tumors. Here we show DAC significantly enhances antileukemia functions CD123 CAR-T in vitro...

With the advent of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), prognosis chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) seems to have dramatically improved over last two decades. Accurate information global burden CML is critical for direct health policy and healthcare resource allocation in era high-cost TKI therapy. This study aimed evaluate at global, regional, national levels from 1990 2017.We collected data between 2017 Global Burden Disease (GBD) including, annual incidence, disease-related mortality,...

An attractive strategy among adenovirus-based oncolytic systems is to design adenoviral vectors express pro-apoptotic genes, in which this gene-virotherapy approach significantly enhances tumor cell death by activating apoptotic pathways. However, the existence of cancer cells with defects one major obstacles gene-virotherapy. Here, we investigated whether a that combines effects an vector simultaneous expression Beclin-1, autophagy gene, offers therapeutic advantage for leukemia. A Beclin-1...

Development of drug resistance due to BCR-ABL point mutations and the persistence leukemia initiating cells has become a major obstacle for tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in treatment chronic myeloid (CML). The protein is an important client heat shock 90 (Hsp90). BIIB021, orally available Hsp90 inhibitor, activity against various cancer cells. However, little known about inhibitory effect BIIB021 on CML We evaluated effects K562, K562/G (an imatinib-resistant cell lines), as well 32D...

Gut microbiota has been implicated in the pathogenesis of many autoimmune diseases. This is still an area active research given that role gut on primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) remains unclear. In this study, fecal samples 30 untreated adult ITP patients and 29 healthy controls (HCs) were used to investigate microbial community metabolite profiles. Our results show bacteria such as Blautia, Streptococcus Lactobacillus are enriched, whereas Bacteroides depleted patients. Notably,...

The development of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), a prevalent subgroup non-Hodgkin (NHL), potentially involves various cytokines. We aimed to determine the correlation between deregulated serum levels cytokines and clinical features investigate their impact on prognosis patients with DLBCL.We conducted retrospective study 77 newly diagnosed DLBCL explore relationships different cytokines, adverse features, poor outcomes. Mann-Whitney U test was used compare cytokine profiles healthy...

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogeneous disorder with aberrant regulation of variety signal pathways. Therefore, simultaneous targeting two or even more deregulated transduction pathways needed to overcome drug resistance. Previously, it was reported that SNS-032, selective cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, an effective agent for treatment AML; however, the molecular mechanisms SNS-032-induced cell death AML cells are not yet fully understood. The aim study characterize effects in...

In this study, we present a rare case of fatal breakthrough Candida tropicalis infection in patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) while on posaconazole prophylaxis. Then, explore the mechanisms underlying azole resistance by focusing enhanced efflux pumps and changes target enzyme Erg11p, which was encoded ERG11 gene. Our study demonstrates that Y132C substitution Erg11p combined MDR1 overexpression may be pan-azole tropicalis.
