It has been reported that the fall incidence in women is much higher than men and fallers have worse postural balance performance non-fallers. However, it controversial whether any sex difference exists. The purpose of this study was to investigate effects age their interactions during quiet standing with natural stance width.Sixty-three elderly subjects (aged 65-86 years) 66 young 18-26 performed self-selected feet distance on a force plate. Four analysis variables - mean distance,...

This study aims to analyze viscoelastic properties of the wrist in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) comparison clinical score severity. Forty-five PD and 12 healthy volunteers participated this study. Severity rigidity at was rated by a neurologist just before experiment. Wrist joint torque resistive imposed movement measured. Three different models, (identical structure, only number parameters for extension flexion phases) were used identification properties: 1) one damping constant...

Many psychiatric disorders accompany deficits in cognitive functions and synaptic plasticity, abnormal lipid modifications of neuronal proteins are associated with their pathophysiology. Lipid modifications, including palmitoylation myristoylation, play crucial roles the subcellular localization trafficking proteins. Cyclin Y (CCNY), enriched postsynaptic compartment, acts as an inhibitory modulator functional structural long-term potentiation (LTP) hippocampal neurons. However, cellular...

Variant angina causes chest pain due to abnormal coronary vasospasms. A 60-year-old male who was diagnosed with variant admitted the Oriental Medicine Hospital and treated herbal medicines, including Pyungjinsujeom-san Simjeok-hwan. After treatment, frequency of use nitroglycerin decreased. Subjective symptoms measured using a numerical rating scale (NRS) also These improvements persisted throughout hospitalization period. In conclusion, Korean Simjeok-hwan, can be effective for patients angina.

The present study investigated benexate hydrochloride betadex (BHB)-mediated ulcer healing, and changes to microcirculation modulated through nitric oxide synthase (NOS) anti‑inflammatory activity. A rat model of gastric mucosal injury was established injection a 60% acetic acid solution into the stomach. Following induction, rats were administered BHB orally for 5 days at doses 0, 100, 300 or 1,000 mg/kg. highest dose also with without L-NG-nitroarginine methyl ester (L‑NAME). area ulcers...

Cyclin Y (CCNY), which is a cyclin protein known to play role in cell division, unexpectedly and thus interestingly expressed non-proliferating neuronal cells. There have been only few studies reporting the functions of CCNY synapse remodeling hippocampal long-term potentiation. Therefore, we here provide global comprehensive information on putative biological functional pathways systems. We adopted high-throughput RNA-sequencing technology for analyzing transcriptomes regulated by utilized...
