Neuroinflammation is an important host defense response to secondary brain injury after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (TREM2) confers strong neuroprotective effects by attenuating neuroinflammation in experimental ischemic stroke. Recent studies suggest that apolipoprotein E (apoE) a novel, high-affinity ligand of TREM2. This study aimed investigate the TREM2 activation and neuronal apoptosis mouse model ICH.

Intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction is crucial in the pathogenesis of intestinal and systemic diseases. Ferulic acid (FA) possesses promising antioxidant activities. In a previous study, we demonstrated potentially protective effects FA against heat stress-induced IEC-6 cells. However, underlying mechanisms are unclear. The present study aimed to elucidate whether protects cells from via antioxidative mechanisms.IEC-6 were pretreated with prior hyperthermia exposure at 42 °C for 6 h,...

Intestinal barrier dysfunction is an important clinical problem in various acute and chronic pathological conditions. Ferulic acid (FA) can attenuate the intestinal epithelial dysfunction, however, underlying mechanism remains unclear. The present study aimed to uncover protective effect of FA on a Caco-2 cell model lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation mechanism. cells were pretreated with then exposed LPS stimulation. function was evaluated by measuring trans-epithelial resistance (TER)...

BACKGROUND
The bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) remains the major constraint on long term success of lung transplantation. Neutrophils have been associated with fibrosing conditions and noted to be increased in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid patients BOS.
METHODS
This study was undertaken examine neutrophil accumulation BAL fluid, airway wall parenchyma, as well levels interleukin (IL)-8 normal controls transplant recipients without Bronchoscopic examination...

Our previous studies suggested that paeonol, the active constituent of traditional Chinese medicine Cortex Moutan, may be an effective treatment for inflammatory disorders. In present study, therapeutic potential paeonol on atopic dermatitis (AD) was investigated using animal and cell experiments. AD‑like lesions were induced by repeated application 1‑chloro‑2,4‑dinitrobenzene (DNCB) to shaved dorsal skin BALB/c mice, P815 cells used in vitro assays. The lesions, serum spleens mice analyzed...

Hydroxysafflor yellow A (HSYA) is an effective therapeutic agent for inflammatory diseases and autoimmune disorders; however, its regulatory effect on NLRP3 inflammasome activation in macrophages has not been investigated. In this study, we predicted the potential interaction between HSYA xanthine oxidase (XO) via PharmMapper inverse docking confirmed binding inhibition inhibitory test (IC 50 = 40.04 μ M). Computation illustrated that, HSYA-XO complex, was surrounded by Leu 648, 712, His...
