This important topic of infectious endocarditis (IE) has been covered previously with large multicenter studies and reviews national databases, most which come from developed countries. While on IE in developing countries such as China are rare, a study undergoing cardiac surgery was conducted to investigate retrospective risk factors for hospital mortality IE. patients receiving the research period at our medical center performed retrospectively; 896 were assigned group (n = 48) none 848)....
Background: We conducted the following study to analyze risk factors of postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients diagnosed with infectious endocarditis (IE) and their impact on outcomes. Methods: retrospectively analyzed IE treated surgically. use a contingency table method logistic regression analysis for investigation relationship perioperative factors, Kaplan Meier survival rate, logarithmic rank test inter group rate differences, Spearman correlation two variates, receiver...
Purpose: This study aimed to validate the efficacy and safety of HTH-1 handheld robotic needle holder versus conventional instrument in laparoscopic ureterolithotomy.
Background: Atorvastatin calcium, known for its anti-inflammatory and atherosclerotic plaque-stabilizing effects, is widely used the prevention treatment of ischemic cardiovascular cerebrovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, cerebral infarction. Pyroptosis, a recently identified form programmed cell death mediated by Caspase-1 gasdermin D (GSDMD), characterized inflammasome activation inflammatory cytokine release. Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury...
We aimed to investigate surgical treatment of left-sided infective endocarditis with symptomatic neurological complications before surgery. This was a retrospective study patients and surgery undergoing cardiac between January 2006 November 2022 at our hospital.Eight hundred thirty-two were divided into group (n = 112) without 720). There 48 operative deaths (5.4%). Univariate multivariate analyses showed that is statistically significantly associated in-hospital mortality following prolonged...
Oesophageal cancer is the eighth most common cause of worldwide. In 2009 in China, incidence and death rate oesophageal was 22.14 per 100 000 person-years 16.77 person-years, respectively, highest world. Minimally invasive oesophagectomy (MIO) introduced into clinical practice with aim reducing morbidity rate. The mechanisms MIO may lie minimising reaction to surgical injury inflammation. There are some randomised trials regarding minimally versus open oesophagectomy, 100-850 subjects...
Prolonged intensive care unit (ICU) stay is common in serious patients undergoing cardiac surgery. ICU associated with increased mortality and worse prognosis. This study was conducted to determine the risk factors for prolonged after surgery infective endocarditis (IE) we try decrease operative of morbidity IE.The retrospective IE between January 2006 November 2022 at our hospital performed.896 were divided into group ≤ 3d (n = 416) p > 480). There 48 deaths (5.4%). Univariable...
To evaluate the outcomes of left-sided infective endocarditis that can be operated on and cannot on, to focus modifiable risk factors for immediate long-term mortality.
Cardioplegic reperfusion during a long‑term ischemic period interrupts cardiac surgery and increases cellular edema due to repeated administration. The present clinical study compared the protective effects of histidine-ketoglutarate-tryptophan (HTK) solution St. Thomas crystalloid cardioplegia. Clinical experiences myocardial protection induced by one single perfusion with HTK were reviewed in high‑risk patients severe pulmonary arterial hypertension associated complex congenital heart...
Excision repair cross‑complementation group 6 like (ERCC6L) has been reported to be upregulated in a variety of malignant tumors and plays critical oncogenic role. However, the role molecular mechanism ERCC6L lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remain unclear, were therefore investigated present study. Clinical data patients with LUAD obtained bioinformatics analysis was performed investigate expression characteristics, prognostic value, biological function ERCC6L. In addition, cell experiments...
Background: We aimed to investigate risk factors of early mortality following pericardiectomy. Methods: This was a retrospective study patients undergoing pericardiectomy between January 1994 and May 2021 at The People’s Hospital Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ruikang Affiliated University Chinese Medicine, Liuzhou City. Results: included 826 patients, who were divided into two groups: group with operative deaths (N = 66) without 760). There 66 (66/826, 8.0%). causes multiorgan failure...
Cardioplegic reperfusion during a long term ischemic period interrupts cardiac surgery and also increases cellular edema due to repeated solution administration. We reviewed the clinical experiences on myocardial protection of single perfusion with histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate (HTK) for high-risk patients severe pulmonary arterial hypertension associated complex congenital heart disease. This retrospective study included 101 undergoing switch operation between March 2001 July 2012....
We developed a new minimally invasive thoracoscopic technique of extended thymectomy for myasthenia gravis by combining subxiphoid incision with dual costal margin incisions. In our experience 31 consecutive cases, this procedure provides good operative view in the neck region and makes verification bilateral phrenic nerves easy. All patients recovered smoothly less trauma, bleeding, complication, cosmetic results. This modified transsubxiphoid approach is satisfactory performing gravis.
Abstract Background We aimed to investigate risk factors of multiorgan failure following pericardiectomy. Methods This was a retrospective study patients undergoing pericardiectomy between January 1994 and May 2021 at three hospitals. Results 826 were included in the divided into two groups: group with (n = 86) without 740). There 86 (86/826, 10.4%). 66 operative deaths (66/826, 8.0%). The causes failure, including cardiogenic shock + AKI ventricular fibrillation (13/66), (35/66), hepatic...
Background: Low cardiac output syndrome is the main cause of death after pericardiectomy. Methods: Patients who underwent pericardiectomy for constrictive pericarditis from January 2009 to October 2020 at our hospital were included in study. Histopathologic studies pericardium tissue every patient performed. All survivors followed up. Results: Ninety-two consecutive patients underdoing The incidence postoperative low was 10.7% (10/92). There five operative deaths. Mortality and LCOS group...
Background: Mitral repair has been widely used in the treatment of secondary mitral lesions recent years. Hemolytic anemia is known to be a rare complication after repair. This study aimed investigate diagnosis and mechanical hemolysis adults. Methods: In this retrospective study, we reviewed medical records patients undergoing complicated with at our institution between August 2006 May 2020. Results: Twenty-four were included study. They divided into two groups: reoperation group (patients...
Abstract Introduction: We aimed to elucidate the risk factors of ventilation dependency following cardiac surgery for infective endocarditis. Methods: retrospectively investigated patients with endocarditis undergoing surgery. Mechanical > 72 hours was defined as Results: 896 were divided into group mechanical ≤ 72h (n = 702) and 192). Multivariate analyses identified age, time between symptoms surgery, vegetation length, aortic cross-clamp time, cardiopulmonary bypass ICU retention serum...
The impact of vegetation length on therapeutic decision-making and prediction long-term survival patients with infective endocarditis is a highly topical issue. aim the study was to clarify greater than 10 mm treated surgically for endocarditis.
