Marine natural products are important sources of novel drugs. In this study, we isolated 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (HPA) from the marine-derived fungus Emericellopsis maritima Y39–2. The antithrombotic activity and mechanism HPA were reported for first time. Using a zebrafish model, found that had strong because it can significantly increase cardiac erythrocytes, blood flow velocity, heart rate, reduce caudal thrombus, reverse inflammatory response caused by Arachidonic Acid (AA). Further...
Hosta plantaginea was a traditional Chinese medicinal plant used to treat inflammation-related diseases with little scientific validation. Twelve flavonoids, including two new compounds namely plantanones A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the flowers of plantaginea. Their structures elucidated by NMR HRMS as well comparison literature data. All showed significant inhibitory activities against ovine COX-1 COX-2 at concentration 50 μM, inhibition ratios 53.00% 80.55% for 52.19% 66.29% COX-2....
Houttuynoids A–E (1–5), a new type of flavonoid with houttuynin tethered to hyperoside, and their presumed biosynthetic precursor hyperoside (6) were isolated from the whole plant Houttuynia cordata. Their structures elucidated by analysis 1D 2D NMR. A hypothetical biogenetic pathway for houttuynoids was proposed. Compounds 1–5 exhibited potent anti-HSV (herpes simplex viruses) activity.
To explore the potential molecular mechanism of Pueraria Lobata Radix (RP) and Salviae Miltiorrhizae (RS) in treatment type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) based on network pharmacology docking. The chemical constituents core targets RP RS were searched by Traditional Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology (TCMSP); target genes related to T2DM obtained through GeneCards database, component diagram was constructed, intersection active compounds synthesized, protein-protein interaction (PPI)...
Previously, we found that human histocytic lymphoma U937 cells possessed high susceptibility to oridonin-induced cell death, but the molecular mechanisms in response oridonin remain unclear. In this study, showed susceptible apoptosis induced by 27 μM and an agonistic anti-Fas IgM mAb (CH-11) (500 ng/ml) as a Fas-sensitized positive control. Caspase 8 inhibitor z-IETD, neither caspase 1 Ac-YVAD nor 10 z-AEVD, effectively blocked death well DNA fragmentation. Western blot analysis...
Two C18-diterpenoid alkaloids, puberunine (1) and puberudine (2), together with four other new including the first examples having β-oriented substitution at C-3 a rare chloro-substituent were isolated from Aconitum barbatum var. puberulum. Their structures elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Puberunine puberudine, which possess unique rearranged E ring an opened A ring, respectively, represent subtypes of alkaloids. plausible biosynthetic pathway 1 2 was proposed.
Four novel acoranes (1–4), a new cadinane (5), and guaiane (6), together with six known sesquiterpenoids, were isolated from the rhizomes of Acorus tatarinowii. Their structures established on basis extensive spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configurations determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, electronic circular dichroism (ECD), CD exciton chirality, an in situ dimolybdenum method. anti-Alzheimer effects all isolates evaluated acetylcholinesterase (AChE) β-site amyloid...
The host genes play a crucial role in shaping the composition and structure of gut microbiome. Red deer is listed as an endangered species by International Union for Conservation Nature, its pilose antlers have good medicinal value. Hybridization can lead to heterosis, resulting increased antler production growth performance hybrid deer. However, microbiome remains largely unknown. In this study, alpha beta diversity analysis showed that hybridization altered offspring, with offspring being...
Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort. (Chuanxiong) is a well-known Chinese medicine, and studies on its chemical constituents are important for explaining mechanism of action quality control. This study aims to investigate the dried rhizome of. L. chuanxiong. The was extracted with 60 % ethanol, concentrated extract isolated by silica gel, octadecyl silane, Sephadex LH-20 columns, followed preparative/semipreparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) obtain pure constituents. The structures...
Three new biflavonoids, named oliveriflavones A-C (1-3), together with two known flavonoids (quercetin (4) and rutin (5)), were isolated from the endangered plant Cephalotaxus oliveri. The chemical structures of these compounds elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic methods including NMR, HRESIMS, IR, UV, CD spectra. Compounds 1-5 first genus Cephalotaxus. All tested for their antioxidant activity. 4 5 showed excellent activity IC50 values 0.03 ± 0.06 μM 0.02 0.10 μM, respectively.
Background: Ecliptae prostrata (L.) L. has been widely used in East Asia with reported biological activities, including anti-cancer properties. Objective: We aimed to investigate the effect of ethyl acetate extract (EAE) and its component wedelolactone on proliferation migration head neck squamous cancer cells. Methods: The human SCC-4 mouse CU110-1 tongue carcinoma cells was assessed using 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) method. Scratch wound assays...
1. A filamentous fungus, Cunninghamella blakesleeana CGMCC 3.970, was applied as a microbial system to mimic mammalian metabolism of 4,5-dimethoxyl-canthin-6-one (1). Compound 1 belongs canthin-6-one type alkaloids, which is major bioactive constituent traditional Chinese medicine (the stems Picrasma quassioides).2. After 72 h incubation in potato dextrose broth, metabolized seven metabolites follows: 4-methoxyl-5-hydroxyl-canthin-6-one (M1), 4-hydroxyl-5-methoxyl-canthin-6-one (M2), (M3),...
