Abstract Dietary polyphenols have been widely investigated as antidiabetic agents in cell, animals, human study, and clinical trial. The number of publication (Indexed by Web Science) on “polyphenols diabetes” significantly increased since 2010. This review highlights the advances opportunities dietary agents. prevent manage Type 2 diabetes mellitus via insulin‐dependent approaches, for instance, protection pancreatic islet β‐cell, reduction β‐cell apoptosis, promotion proliferation,...
Abstract Seaweed has emerged as one of the most promising resources due to its remarkable adaptability, short development period, and resource sustainability. It is an effective breakthrough alleviate future crises. Algal have reached a high stage growth in past years increased output demand for seaweed worldwide. Several aspects global farming production processing over last 20 are reviewed, such latest situation approaches farming. Research progress trend various application discussed....
Abstract Green seaweed, as the most abundant species of macroseaweeds, is an important marine biological resource. It a rich source several amino acids, fatty and dietary fibers, well polysaccharides, polyphenols, pigments, other active substances, which have crucial roles in various processes such antioxidant activity, immunoregulation, anti-inflammatory response. In recent years, attention to resources has accelerated exploration utilization green seaweeds for greater economic value. This...
This study aimed to investigate the antidiabetic activity of water-ethanol extract green macroalgae Enteromorpha prolifera (EPW) and its flavonoid-rich fraction less than 3 kDa (EPW3) in type 2 diabetic mice induced by streptozotocin a high-sucrose/high-fat diet. The major active compounds were identified using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole-time-of-flight-tandem mass spectrometry. Quantitative gene expression analysis insulin signaling pathway was performed....
A bioactive polysaccharide from microalga Chlorella pyrenoidosa (CPP) was successively prepared via DEAE-52 and G-100 columns. Nuclear magnetic resonance analysis showed that the main glycosidic bonds were composed of 1,2-linked-α-l-Fucp, 1,4-linked-α-l-Rhap, 1,4-linked-β-l-Araf, 1-linked-α-d-Glcp, 1,3-linked-β-d-GlcpA, 1,4-linked-β-d-Xylp, 1,3,6-linked-β-d-Manp. Its molecular weight 5.63 × 106 Da. The hypolipidemic effect intestinal flora regulation CPP on diet-induced rats evaluated...
