We report the first quantum key distribution (QKD) systems capable of delivering sustainable, real-time secure keys continuously at rates exceeding 10 Mb/s. To achieve such rates, we developed high speed post-processing modules, achieving maximum data throughputs 60 MC/s, 55 Mb/s, and 108 Mb/s for standalone operation sifting, error correction privacy amplification respectively. The photonic layer QKD features high-speed single photon detectors based on self-differencing InGaAs avalanche...

Sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) induces diverse biological responses in various tissues by activating specific G protein-coupled receptors (S1P1–S1P5 receptors). The signaling regulated S1P3 receptor has not been fully elucidated because of the lack an receptor-specific antagonist or agonist. We developed a novel antagonist, 1-(4-chlorophenylhydrazono)-1-(4-chlorophenylamino)-3,3-dimethyl- 2-butanone (TY-52156), and show here that S1P-induced decrease coronary...

Background The genetic profile of retinitis pigmentosa (RP) in East Asian populations has not been well characterised. Therefore, we conducted a large-scale sequencing study to investigate the genes and variants causing RP Japanese population. Methods A total 1209 patients diagnosed with typical were enrolled. We performed deep resequencing 83 known causative using next-generation sequencing. defined pathogenic as those that putatively deleterious or registered Human Gene Mutation Database...

Purpose/Aim of the Study. Subthreshold micropulse diode laser photocoagulation is an effective treatment for macular edema. The molecular mechanisms underlying success are poorly understood. Therefore, we investigated effects sublethal energy doses on a single layer densely cultured ARPE-19 cells as model human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Materials and Methods. A was perpendicularly irradiated with laser. Nonirradiated served controls. Sublethal applied to form photocoagulation-like...

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used to reduce inflammation by suppressing cyclooxygenases (COXs). NSAID eye drops frequently prescribed after ocular surgery and pain, but this treatment has clinically significant side effects, including corneal ulcer perforation. The molecular mechanisms underlying these effects remain unknown. Recently, the COX product 12(S)-hydroxyheptadeca-5Z,8E,10E-trienoic acid (12-HHT) was identified as an endogenous ligand for leukotriene B4...

A 1,314 bp was isolated by this approach, representing highly message encoding 388 amino acid protein showing 58%, 50%, 49% homology bovine β‐arrestin, retinal arrestin (S‐antigen), respectively. Chromosomal mapping localized new genc the proximal long arm of X chromosome, hence it named X‐arrestin. In situ hybridization demonstrated its expression in inner outer segments...
