Thomson scattering of high-power laser and electron beams is a good test electrodynamics in the high-field region. We demonstrated production high-intensity X-rays head-on collision CO2 60-MeV at Brookhaven National Laboratory, Accelerator Test Facility. The transverse beam dynamics in plasma channels of possible future plasma-based linacs is discussed. We represent the focusing both a beam-driven and laser-driven wakefield accelerator by uniform channel. sizes basic offset tolerance are calculated, finding that sub-micron beams must be transported with even smaller tolerances. results emphasize need to pursue further ideas for structures high-acceleration gradients but reduced wakefields.
