Abstract Eleven antidiabetic traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) extracts rich in saponins were examined for their antioxidant and antiglycation activities. The activities of these evaluated by studying the inhibition lipid peroxidation rat liver microsomes induced ascorbate/Fe 2+ , cumine hydroperoxide (CHP) or CCl 4 /reduced form nicotinamide‐adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH). capacities also scavenging 2,2′‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical. hemoglobin‐ δ ‐gluconolactone (...

Our previous study has demonstrated that the antidiabetic activity of extract root bark Aralia taibaiensis (EAT) was correlated with its combined antioxidant and antiglycation properties. To confirm further constituents responsible, 12 triterpenoid saponins were isolated from EAT examined for their activities. The activities pure compounds evaluated by studying inhibition lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsomes induced ascorbate/Fe(2+), cumine hydroperoxide (CHP) or CCl(4)/reduced form...

Moderate traumatic brain injury (mTBI) is a heterogeneous entity that poorly defined in the literature. Patients with mTBI have high rate of neurological deterioration (ND), which usually accompanied by poor prognosis and no definitive methods to predict. The purpose this study develop validate prediction model estimates ND risk patients using data collected on admission. Data for 479 retrospectively our department were analyzed logistic regression models. Bivariable identified variables p <...

In a prior study of intracerebral hemorrhage monitoring using magnetic induction phase shift (MIPS), we found that MIPS signal changes occurred to those seen with intracranial pressure. However, the characteristic alert is not yet fully explained. Combining brain physiology and theory, propose cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) may be primary factor leads hematoma expansion being alerted by earlier than pressure monitoring. This paper investigates relationship between CSF in rabbit models, which...

Down-sampling Fourier single-pixel imaging is typically achieved by truncating the spectrum, where exclusively low-frequency coefficients are extracted while discarding high-frequency components. However, truncation of spectrum can lead to an undesired ringing effect in reconstructed result. Moreover, original necessitated grayscale basis patterns for illumination.
