The dismal prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is closely associated with characteristics the tumour microenvironment (TME). Recent studies have confirmed presence and potential influence microbiome in TME on cancer progression. Elucidating relationship between microbes could provide valuable insights into novel diagnostic markers therapeutic strategies for HCC thus warrants a closer investigation role intratumoural TME.

Abstract Little is known about the function of Keratin 80 (KRT80), an epithelial keratin, in cancer. This study investigated role KRT80 prognosis colorectal carcinoma (CRC) and underlying mechanisms involved CRC migration invasion. We analyzed expression using The Cancer Genome Atlas Oncomine databases. Higher was found to be significantly associated with multiple pathological parameters, lower disease-free survival, overall survival patients. Also, independent prognostic indicator for CRC....

Abstract Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF) constitute a major component of the tumor microenvironment. The effects CAFs on progression colorectal cancer remain controversial. In this study, we found ectopic overexpression Fibronectin leucine-rich transmembrane protein 3 (FLRT3) inhibited process epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), as well proliferation, migration, invasion, and promote apoptosis cells, whereas silencing FLRT3 expression resulted in opposite phenomenon. downregulation...

Abstract Methods accurately predicting the responses of colorectal cancer (CRC) and liver metastasis (CRLM) to personalized chemotherapy remain limited due tumor heterogeneity. This study introduces an innovative patient‐derived CRC CRLM model for preclinical investigation, utilizing 3d‐bioprinting (3DP) technology. Efficient construction homogeneous in vitro 3D models CRC/CRLM is achieved through application primary cells bioprinting with bioink. Genomic histological analyses affirm that...

Abstract DEAD box RNA helicase 17 (DDX17) is a transcriptional regulator of several transcription factors, which more appreciated than its role in metabolism. However, prognostic value and biofunction DDX17 HCC remain unclear. Illuminating the mechanism underlying regulating progression by may contribute to therapeutic strategies. In our study, we report for first time that was overexpressed specimens using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) immunohistochemistry (IHC) correlated clinical...

The existing in vitro models for antitumor drug screening have significant limitations. Many compounds that inhibit two-dimensional (2D) cultured cells do not exhibit the same pharmacological effects vivo, thereby wasting human and material resources time during development. Therefore, it is crucial to develop new models. Three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting technology has greater advantages constructing tissues than sandwich culture organoid construction. We used 3D construct a multicellular...

Bone metastasis (BM) dramatically reduces the quality of life and expectancy in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients. There is an urgent need to identify potential biomarkers for application treatment this deadly disease. We compared patient BM, LUAD, para-LUAD tissues using proteomic analysis identified aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2), which can detoxify acetaldehyde acetic acid, as one key regulators tumor metastasis. Both mRNA protein levels ALDH2 were significantly lower than normal...

The treatment and prognosis of advanced colorectal cancer (CRC) remain a challenging clinical research focus. Here, we describe new CRC tumor suppressor potential therapeutic target: thymocyte selection associated high mobility group box (TOX) protein. expression TOX was lower in than para-CRC.
