A 6 weeks pot culture experiment was carried out to investigate the stabilization effects of a modified biochar (BCM) on metals in contaminated soil and uptake these by wheat seedlings. The results showed that application BCM significantly increased fertility, biomass seedling roots more than 50%, dehydrogenase (DHA) catalase (CAT) activities 369.23% 12.61%, respectively. In addition, with BCM, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid extractable (DTPA-extractable) Cd, Pb, Cu Zn were reduced from...

The supply of fresh agricultural products in China is uneven across regions, showing a characteristic complementary types. Therefore, it required that the product chain needs more efficient information transmission mechanism, and all links work together to reduce risks enhance resilience chain. To accelerate development construction China's chain, particularly important study impact risk on its elasticity. This article uses system dynamics method construct three-level model for products,...

Understanding the driving forces behind built-up land expansion is crucial in urban planning and management. Using Pearl River Delta agglomeration as research area, four landscape metrics were used to analyze characteristics of from 1990 2015. Spatial autocorrelation analysis was study expansion, while geographical detector employed identify growth their interactions. The results show extent has been increasing, structure become more complex, level fragmentation aggregation degree decline....

There are few studies on lead's effect bone mineral density (BMD) in childhood. In this study, we examined the association between lead exposure and BMD among 13,951 children adolescents aged 8-19 years from NHANES 1999-2006 2011-2018. The whole blood levels (BLLs) were used as biomarkers, total BMD, subtotal lumbar spine limb outcome variables. survey weighted multivariable generalized additive models (GAMs) with smoothing terms to explore BMDs, adjusted for age, sex, race/ethnicity,...

Abstract We examine the role of teachers in explaining urban‐rural gap educational outcomes. Using a large panel data set students and collected from China explicitly controlling for endogeneity prior student academic achievement, we find that difference teacher effects contributes part to observed achievement. In other words, if rural were same quality as urban teachers, achievement would be reduced substantially.

The aim of the study was to investigate association between serum ferritin and hypertension among American adults from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 1999 2018. A total 16,125 participants were included. Weighted logistic regression subgroup analyses performed explore association. We found that closely correlated hypertension. Individuals with high more likely have higher systolic or diastolic blood pressure (SBP, DBP) than those lower ferritin. Restricted cubic spline...

This paper investigates the efficiency and spatial equity impacts of a unique island-looping high-speed rail (HSR) network in Hainan province, China. An integrated raster-based model is applied to accurately measure accessibility indicators. We perform analysis at four different geographical planning levels – island, corridor, spillover, county level. The HSR with non-polarized topology can increase entire island but only leads slight spillover areas without stations. construction also...
