Current non-invasive approaches for detection of urothelial cancers are suboptimal. We developed a test to detect neoplasms using DNA recovered from cells shed into urine. UroSEEK incorporates massive parallel sequencing assays mutations in 11 genes and copy number changes on 39 chromosome arms. In 570 patients at risk bladder cancer (BC), was positive 83% those who BC. Combined with cytology, detected 95% Of 56 upper tract cancer, 75% tested by UroSEEK, including 79% tumors. genetic...

Systematic investigation has been made on CuCl crystals prepared by different methods. The occurrence of high-pressure phases and various anomalies are found to depend sensitively the sample conditions. Four-lead electrical measurements showed that all pressure-induced thermally equilibrated studies had positive although small activation energies. A diamagnetic anomaly above 90 K over a temperature range 10-20 was observed in ac magnetic susceptibility rapidly warmed samples. sharp increase...

Aristolochic acid (AA), a component of all Aristolochia ‐based herbal medicines, is potent nephrotoxin and human carcinogen associated with upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UUC). To investigate the clinical pathological characteristics AA‐induced UUC, this study included 152 UUC patients, 93 whom had been exposed to AA based on presence aristolactam‐DNA adducts in renal cortex. Gene sequencing was used identify tumors A:T‐to‐T:A transversions TP53 , mutational signature AA. Cases...

Rationale: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been the focus of many studies because their abilities to modulate immune responses, angiogenesis, and promote tumor growth metastasis. Our previous work showed that gastric cancer MSCs (GCMSCs) promoted escape by secreting IL-8, which induced programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in GC cells. Mounting evidence has revealed PD-L1 is related intrinsic properties. Here, we investigated whether GCMSCs maintained a pool (CSCs) through...

There are still no effective therapies for hyposalivation caused by irradiation. In our previous study, bone marrow stem cells can be transdifferentiated into acinar-like in vitro. Therefore, we hypothesized that transplantation with or may help functional regeneration of salivary glands. Accelerated glucose metabolism is critical in hepatocarcinogenesis, but the utilities of different transporter inhibitors treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain largely uncharacterized. In this study, we examined a collection and found differential anti-HCC effects among these compounds. Canagliflozin (CANA), phloretin, WZB117 decreased cellular influx, only CANA showed potent growth inhibition HCC, which indicated glucose-independent mechanism. Notably, that treatment significantly...
