Background Highly selective type Ib mesenchymal–epithelial transition gene (MET) tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are the standard-of-care (SOC) therapy for previously untreated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring MET exon 14 (METex14) skipping mutations. However, there rare reports describing effective regimens patients who fail SOC without identifying resistant mutations or tissue transformation. Case report We first case of a 74-year-old woman with adenocarcinoma (cT1cNxM0)...

Objective This retrospective study aimed to investigate the clinical features of lung cancer patients with leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) and explore efficacy tolerance intrathecal pemetrexed (IP) combined systemic antitumor therapy. Methods Thirty-four (11 men, 23 women) LM receiving IP at our hospital were retrospectively reviewed between August 2018 December 2019. Identified cases showed either positive cerebrospinal fluid cytology or typical findings (leptomeningeal enhancement ventricle...

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) fusion is a prognostic indicator for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receiving tyrosine inhibitors (TKIs). The real-world data of ALK TKIs remain major concern.Patients ALK-positive advanced NSCLC, who received crizotinib or alectinib treatment in first line, were retrospectively reviewed. status was detected using immunohistochemistry (IHC) next-generation sequencing (NGS). Clinical outcomes have been comprehensively analyzed between TKIs,...

Abstract Background Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been reported to exert crucial functions in regulating the progression of human cancers. However, function and mechanism long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 01089 (LINC01089) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) not revealed. Methods The expression level LINC01089, microRNA (miRNA, miR)-152-3p phosphatase tensin homolog deleted onc hromosome ten (PTEN) mRNA was detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). After gain-of-function...

Abstract High‐risk neuroblastoma (HR‐NB) is an aggressive childhood cancer that responds poorly to currently available therapies and associated with only about a 50% 5‐year survival rate. MYCN amplification critical driver of these tumors, but so far there have not been any approved treatments effectively treat HR‐NB by targeting or its downstream effectors. Thus, the identification novel molecular targets therapeutic strategies children diagnosed represents urgent unmet medical need. Here,...

Hepatoblastoma (HB), a leading primary hepatic malignancy in children, originates from primitive stem cells. This study aimed to uncover the genetic variants that are responsible for HB oncogenesis. One family, which includes healthy parents, and two brothers affected by HB, was recruited. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of germline DNA all family members identified maternal variants, located within APC gene X-linked WAS gene, were harbored brothers. The mutation (rs137854573, c.C1606T,...

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have greatly transformed the treatment and improved prognosis for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without driver gene alterations. However, effects of ICI combination therapy in ROS1 fusion-positive NSCLC remains unclear. Herein, we present a case treated plus chemotherapy. The patient achieved continuous partial response (PR) to chemotherapy more than 35 months progression free survival. This demonstrates that is promising option NSCLC.

Abstract Background Leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) is a lethal complication of advanced lung cancer, and due to limited access the leptomeningeal lesion, we explored potential role cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) as source for liquid biopsy in LM patients cancer with EGFR mutation. Materials Methods From August 2018 June 2021, collected CSF samples at First Affiliated Hospital Zhengzhou University. Next‐generation sequencing was performed detect mutations genes, 38 detected were finally enrolled...
