A measurement of the energy spectrum recoil electrons from solar neutrino scattering in Super-Kamiokande detector is presented. Evidence of massive neutrinos in the ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}\ensuremath{\nu}$ decay spectrum was sought with background ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}$ chain highly suppressed. The east-west anisotropy, caused by the deflection of primary cosmic rays in Earth's magnetic field, is observed for first time flux atmospheric neutrinos. We report the development of a proton identification method for Super-Kamiokande (SK) detector. Through laboratory experiments of oil-in-water emulsification, we show that can construct a high-shear-rate mixer (precession mixer) by using the precession cylindrical container without any mixing blades. For mixing, with larger diameter and its faster spin are preferable so wall velocity becomes large enough. We demonstrate a 400-Gbit/s frequency-division-multiplexed and polarization- multiplexed OFDM transmission over 400 km (5×80 SSMF) with 256 QAM subcarrier modulation using an optical PLL. A record spectral efficiency of 14 bit/s/Hz was successfully achieved.
金属材料の弾性的性質や強度の把握を目的として開発された試験機の中に, スイス製のエコーチップ硬さ試験機がある. 本試験機の特徴としては, 対象とする供試体が小さくて済むことや, 試験時間が短時間であること, 小型で軽量であることから携帯性に優れていること, などが挙げられる. よって, 本試験機を実際の岩盤構造物や複雑な形状をした石造文化遺産に対して用いれば, 計測方向に関係なく迅速な作業が現場で可能になるものと期待される.本試験機を用いた岩質材料の物性評価手法を新たに開発するために, 本論文ではとくに, (1) 試験条件が与える影響調査 (岩石の寸法・形状や表面粗度などに関する検討), (2) 新鮮な岩石を用いた基本特性調査 (物理・力学特性との相関などに関する検討) の2項目に関して実施した結果を報告する.

We perform a search for neutrinos coincident with GRB 080319B, the brightest observed to date, in +/- 1,000 s window. No statistically significant coincidences were and we thereby obtain an upper limit on fluence of neutrino-induced muons from this source. From apply reasonable assumptions derive neutrino GRB.
