Abstract: We assessed the health of workers exposed to World Trade Center (WTC) site and a comparison group unexposed workers, by means mail survey. Exposed reported higher frequency symptoms consistent with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, other psychological problems, approximately 20 months after disaster.
