Background Concurrent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are common in active populations. We aimed to estimate the prevalence and coinfection rates of bacterial STIs among active, HIV-positive men who have sex with (MSM), assess potential benefits different combination treatment regimens managing concurrent STIs. Methods From September 2021 2023, MSM underwent STI testing when they had symptoms suggestive or recently acquired hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection early syphilis. The oral...

Abstract Background Tenofovir-containing antiretroviral therapy (ART) improves survival in HBV-coinfected people with HIV (PWH). We investigated the incidence of HDV infection and its clinical impact PWH era tenofovir-containing ART. Methods Between 2011 2022, were included followed until December 2023. Anti-HDV antibody screening was performed using sequentially archived blood samples. The timing incident estimated as midpoint between last time point anti-HDV-negative samples first...

Abstract The unexpected monkeypox (Mpox) outbreak has been reported in many non-endemic countries and regions since May 2022. mutant strains of Mpox virus (MPXV) were found with higher infectivity greater capability for sustained human-to-human transmission, posing a significant public health threat. MPXV A29L, protein homolog vaccinia (VACV) A27L, plays an important role viral attachment to host cell membranes. Therefore, A29L is considered the diagnostic target potential vaccine candidate...
