Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is an aggressive brain tumour which drug treatment has no overall significant effect on survival rate. Sinomenine a natural product extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine Qingteng and was found to have certain anti-tumour effect. Although, its short biological half-life, unstable physicochemical properties, large dosage causes histamine release hindered use but it may form basis for novel therapy of GBM. We designed, synthesised screened sinomenine...
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in the central nervous system is most lethal advanced glioma and currently there no effective treatment for it. Studies of sinomenine, an alkaloid from Chinese medicinal plant, Sinomenium acutum, showed that it had inhibitory effects on several kinds cancer. Here, we synthesized a sinomenine derivative, sino-wcj-33 (SW33), tested antitumor activity GBM explored underlying mechanism. SW33 significantly inhibited proliferation colony formation reduced migration...
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common, malignant, and lethal primary brain tumor in adults accounting for about 50% of all gliomas. Up to now, chemotherapy approaches GBM were limited. 3-O-acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid (AKBA), major active ingredient gum resin from Boswellia serrata carteri Birdw., was reported inhibit growth many types cancer cells; however, underlying mechanism its anticancer effects are still unclear. The AKBA on cell viability cytotoxicity determined using CCK8 LDH kits...
Nymphaea candida was used to treat hepatitis in Ugyhur medicine, and nicotiflorin (kaempferol 3-O-β-rutinoside) is the main characteristic component this plant [...].
Twenty polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols (PPAPs), including the new compounds hyperscabrones A–I (1–9), were isolated from air-dried aerial parts of Hypericum scabrum. These comprise seven different structural types. All structures determined by NMR spectroscopic methods and both experimental calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. The evaluation their neuroprotective effects on glutamate-induced toxicity in SK-N-SH cells showed that 4–7 exhibited significant...
Glioblastoma is the most common and aggressive primary tumor in central nervous system, accounting for 12%–15% of all brain tumors. 3-O-Acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid (AKBA), one active ingredients gum resin from Boswellia carteri Birdw., was reported to inhibit growth glioblastoma cells subcutaneous glioblastoma. However, whether AKBA has antitumor effects on orthotopic underlying mechanisms are still unclear. An mouse model used evaluate anti-glioblastoma AKBA. The were evaluated using...
Chemical examination of the exuded gum resin Boswellia carterii resulted in isolation nine new prenylaromadendrane-type diterpenes, boscartols A-I (1-9). The structures these compounds were established by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analyses, mass spectrometric data, circular dichroism spectra. Compounds 1-3, 5, 6, 8, 9 (10 μM) showed moderate hepatoprotective activity against d-galactosamine-induced HL-7702 cell damage.
Three new sesquiterpenes (1-3) and two rutinosides (4 5) along with 17 known compounds (6-22) were isolated from the leaves of Murraya koenigii (L.) Spreng. The elucidated as (3R,5S,6R)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-1,1,5-trimethylcyclohexyl-8-butyn-9-one (1), (8E,9R)-ethyl-7-(3S,5R,6S)-3,6-dihydroxy-1,1,5-trimethylcyclohexyl-9-hydroxybut-8-enoate (2), (3R)-3-O-β-D-glucoside-6'-D-apiose-β-ionone (3), 4-O-β-D-rutinosyl-3-methoxyphenyl-1-propanone (4), 1-O-β-D-rutinosyl-2(R)-ethyl-1-pentanol (5) based on...
Hyperascyrins A–H (1–11) and four known compounds (12–15) were acquired from the air-dried aerial parts of Hypericum ascyron all identified as methylated polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinol derivatives. Their structures established by NMR spectroscopy, experimental calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) data, comparison with compounds. Compounds 8 9 showed protection against paracetamol-induced HepG2 cell damage at 10 μM. The neuroprotective activities (10 μM) evaluated, 1...
In present study, the anthocyanin composition and content of fruit B. heteropoda Schrenk were determined for first time. The total anthocyanins extracted from using 0.5% HCl in 80% methanol then purified an AB-8 macroporous resin column. extract (PAE) was evaluated by high-performance liquid chromatography with a diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) HPLC-high resolution-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (HPLC-HR-ESI-MS) under same experimental conditions. results revealed presence seven...
Natural product Hypericum perforatum L. has been used in folk medicine to improve mental performance. However, the effect of H. on metabolism is still unknown. In order test whether extract (EHP) an metabolic syndrome, we treated diet induced obese (DIO) C57BL/6J mice with extract. The chemical characters EHP were investigated thin-layer chromatography, ultraviolet, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and HPLC-mass spectrometry fingerprint analysis. Oral glucose tolerance (OGTT),...
