Microbial diversity is associated with improved outcomes in recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT), but the mechanism underlying this observation unclear. In a cohort 174 patients who underwent allo-HCT, we demonstrate that diverse intestinal microbiome early after allo-HCT an increased number innate-like mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, which are turn overall survival and less acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD). Immune profiling conventional...
Abstract Purpose: The gut microbiota is subject to multiple insults in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) recipients. We hypothesized that preparative conditioning regimens contribute perturbation allo-HCT. Experimental Design: This was a retrospective study evaluated the relationship between exposure 1,188 allo-HCT recipients and microbiome. Stool samples collected from 20 days before up 30 after were profiled using 16S rRNA sequencing. Microbiota injury quantified by...
T cells are the central drivers of many inflammatory diseases, but repertoire tissue-resident at sites pathology in human organs remains poorly understood. We examined site-specificity cell receptor (TCR) repertoires across tissues (5 to 18 per patient) prospectively collected autopsies patients with and without graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a potentially lethal tissue-targeting complication allogeneic hematopoietic transplantation, mouse models GVHD. Anatomic similarity between was key...
The global water crisis is being exacerbated by climate change, even in the United States. Recycled a feasible alternative to alleviate shortage, but it constrained humans’ perceptions. current study examines how residents’ scarcity awareness and change belief influence their willingness use recycled directly indirectly. Bayesian Mindsponge Framework (BMF) analytics was employed on dataset of 1831 residents Albuquerque, New Mexico, an arid inland region US. We discovered that direct potable...
CXCR4D84H is a novel transmembrane variant outside C-terminus identified in 4 unrelated patients with variable WHIM-like phenotypes
Previously we revealed that flagellin proteins in Pseudomonas syringae pv. tabaci 6605 (Pta 6605) were glycosylated with a trisaccharide, modified viosamine (mVio)-rhamnose-rhamnose and glycosylation was required for virulence. We further identified some glycosylation-related genes, including vioA, vioB, vioT, fgt1, fgt2. In this study, newly vioR vioM so-called island as biosynthetic genes of mVio Pta by the mass spectrometry (MS) glycan respective mutants. Furthermore, characterization...
We present general one-loop contributions to the decay processes $H\rightarrow f\bar{f}\gamma$ including all possible exchange of additional heavy vector gauge bosons, fermions, and charged (also neutral) scalar particles in loop diagrams. As a result, analytic results are valid wide class beyond standard models. Analytic formulas for form factors expressed terms Passarino-Veltman functions notations {\tt LoopTools}. Hence, rates can be computed numerically by using this package. The...
A next-to-leading order (NLO) analysis of hadron-jet momentum correlations in p-p collisions at the LHC is carried out. We show that inclusive charged hadron distribution inside jets a very sensitive observable which allows one to disentangle among various fragmentation function sets presently available. Correlations with identified hadrons (kaons, protons) are investigated as well.
Abstract Background: Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is associated with a decrease in intestinal microbiota and beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Dietary fiber can modulate the microbiome SCFA production which effect epithelium health immunity. Therefore, we hypothesized that high-fiber diet recipients of an allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) could result increase commensals, concentrations SCFAs, decreased risk GVHD. Methods: We evaluated dietary data fecal...
This chapter presents an introduction to several diseases of the blood including infectious mononucleosis, leukemia, thrombosis and coagulation, bone marrow disorders, malaria, anemia. In addition a survey recent literature is presented relative natural products that have been utilized for treatment these diseases. The are reported represent wide range structural types present interesting mechanisms action. Thus possibility exists new drugs may be developed from which more effective than...
Abstract Background Before the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant arrived in Vietnam, case rates suggested seroprevalence of was low. Beginning March 2021, we assessed different dosing schedules and adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) for ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine among healthcare workers (HCWs). Methods We performed a prospective cohort study to estimate prevalence IgG antibodies before after vaccination. conducted antibody testing HCWs February 2021 (baseline), second dose (June–July 2021),...
