We used the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method developed by our group for malaria diagnosis with genus-specific and species-specific primers four human parasites at a field clinic in comparison standard microscopy. 急性膿胸に対する治療法として抗生剤投与・胸腔ドレナージが第1選択であるが，これらの治療が無効な場合は外科的治療が必要となる．近年は胸腔鏡下手術が広く行われており，その有用性が多数報告されている．今回，当院の胸腔鏡下手術の成績を報告する．2008年1月から2013年2月の間に急性膿胸に対して胸腔鏡下手術を施行した7例を対象とした．胸腔ドレーン挿入部にポートを留置，さらに1～2ヵ所のポート孔を追加し胸腔鏡下に吸引，掻爬を行った．手術時間は120～360分（中央値158分）で，平均術後ドレナージ期間は5日，平均術後在院日数は9日であった．手術関連死亡，膿胸の再燃は認めなかった．他の複数報告例の平均術後ドレナージ期間は7.9日，平均術後在院日数は18.3日であり，これらと遜色ない結果であった．またポート孔のみと低侵襲であり安全性も高く，急性膿胸における胸腔鏡下手術は有用である可能性がある．
