The International Linear Collider is now proposed with a staged machine design, the first stage at 250 GeV luminosity goal of 2 ab-1. In this paper, we review physics expectations for machine. These include precision measurements Higgs boson couplings, searches exotic decays, other particles that decay zero or small visible energy, and e+e- annihilation to W+W- 2-fermion states improved sensitivity. A summary table gives projections achievable levels based on latest full simulation studies.
Future ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ colliders give the promise of model-independent determinations couplings Higgs boson. In this paper, we present an improved formalism for extracting boson from data, based on effective field theory description corrections to Standard Model. We apply projections coupling accuracies stages International Linear Collider and other proposed colliders.
Facebook's web site and mobile apps are very dynamic. Every day, they undergo thousands of online configuration changes, execute trillions checks to personalize the product features experienced by hundreds million daily active users. For example, changes help manage rollouts new features, perform A/B testing experiments on devices identify best echo-canceling parameters for VoIP, rebalance load across global regions, deploy latest machine learning models improve News Feed ranking. Abstract We report on new flavor tagging algorithms developed to determine the quark-flavor content of bottom ( "Image missing"<!-- image only, no MathML or LaTex -->) mesons at Belle II. The provide essential inputs for measurements mixing and charge-parity violation. validate evaluate performance using hadronic --> decays with flavor-specific final states reconstructed in a data set corresponding an integrated luminosity 62.8 fb $$^{-1}$$ <mml:math...
Belle II is an experiment operating at the intensity frontier. Over next decades, it will record decay of billions bottom mesons, charm hadrons, and tau leptons produced in 10 GeV electron-positron collisions SuperKEKB high-luminosity collider KEK. These data, collected low-background kinematically known conditions, allow us to measure hundreds parameters that test standard model (SM) probe for existence new particles, mass scales orders magnitudes higher than those studied energy We project...
The International Linear Collider is now proposed with a staged machine design, the first stage at $\sqrt{s}=$~250 GeV and an integrated luminosity goal of 2~ab$^{-1}$. One questions for design importance positron polarization. In this report, we review impact polarization on physics goals $250$ ILC demonstrate that has distinct advantages.
The need for an instrument capable of measuring water-vapor fluxes over mixed canopy and large areas has long been recognized. Such a device would greatly enhance the study evapotranspiration processes great practical value water management. To address this problem, scanning Raman lidar designed constructed. Analytical methods have also developed to take advantage type information that can generate. is able measure absolute content calculate evaporative flux quickly relatively areas. This...
This paper describes performance evaluation of a wearable augmented reality system for natural outdoor environments. Applied Research Associates (ARA), as prime integrator on the DARPA ULTRA-Vis (Urban Leader Tactical, Response, Awareness, and Visualization) program, is developing soldier-worn to provide intuitive ‘heads-up’ visualization tactically-relevant geo-registered icons. Our combines novel pose estimation capability, helmet-mounted see-through display, processing unit accurately...
Flowing samples of SF5C1 and SF5C1+H2 were irradiated with 6 J/cm2 pulsed CO2 radiation in an apparatus real time chlorine-atom detection capabilities. The experiments designed to determine if multiple-photon absorption by a sulfur–fluorine stretching oscillation resulted the cleavage weaker sulfur–chlorine bond. It was shown that chlorine atoms are produced high yield appearance shorter than mean between collisions. From known C1+H2 reaction rates temperature photolysis zone deduced be...
Lifetime data at 25 °C for the decay of SO2 (3B1) molecules have been obtained in presence high pressures CH4, C2H6, and C3H8. At pressures, physical quenching channel saturates a kinetic model which incorporates this effect has applied to SO2, alkane systems studied. This permits one evaluate partitioning total rate constants into their chemical components. The value (in units 103 torr−1 s−1) (zero pressure limit), respectively, are (0.18 4.70), (CH4); (1.66 7.70),(C2H6);and (12.5 6.5), (C3H8).
The Belle II experiment at the super KEK B-factory (SuperKEKB) in Tsukuba, Japan, has been collecting $e^+e^-$ collision data since March 2019. Operating a record-breaking luminosity of up to $4.7\times10^{34} \ cm^{-2}s^{-1}$, corresponding $424 fb^{-1}$ recorded. VerteX Detector (VXD) is central detector and its physics program plays crucial role reconstructing precise primary decay vertices. It consists outer 4-layer Silicon Vertex (SVD) using double sided silicon strips inner two-layer...
In the absence of a direct discovery new particles, precision measurements properties known particles will provide most powerful probe for phenomena beyond Standard Model. Future electron positron linear colliders with polarised beams, like International Linear Collider (ILC), unique laboratory such measurements, complementary to hadron colliders. this contribution, we review in particular prospects electroweak left-right asymmetry, as well charged triple gauge couplings, based on...
At the ILC, luminosity-weighted average polarization at IP needs to be determined permille-level. In order reach this goal, combined information from polarimeter and collision data is required. study, a unified approach will presented, which for first time combines cross section measurements with expected constraints polarimeters. Hereby, statistical systematical uncertainties are taken into account, including their correlations. This study shows that fast spin flip frequency required...
The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider took data from 2019 to 2022 (Run 1) and is currently undergoing its planned first long shutdown (LS1). During operational period, achieved a record-breaking instantaneous luminosity of 4.7 x 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$ [1] recorded dataset corresponding 428 fb$^{-1}$. Pixel Vertex Detector (PXD), which innermost sub-detector, based on DEpleted P-channel Field Effect Transistor (DEPFET) technology [2]. Along with Silicon (SVD)...
