Abstract The cell identity of malignant cells and how they acquire it are fundamental for our understanding cancer. Here, we report that esophageal squamous carcinoma (ESCC) display molecular features equally similar but distinct to all three types normal epithelial cells, which term as confused (CCI). CCI is an independent prognostic marker associated with poor prognosis in ESCC. Further, identify tropomyosin 4 (TPM4) a critical gene promotes the aggressiveness ESCC vitro vivo. And TPM4...

It is well-known that thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) always generated from charge-transfer (CT) excited states in donor-acceptor (D-A) systems, which limits its application owing to a slow radiative process and small stimulated emission cross section. Herein, design strategy proposed for realizing TADF locally (LE) state without typical type structure through controlling the intersystem crossing (ISC) reverse (RISC) processes between lowest singlet with LE character higher...

Characterized by nucleus pulposus (NP) cell senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation, disc degeneration is a common pathology for various degenerative spinal disorders. To date, effective treatments are absent. Here, we found that Glutaredoxin3 (GLRX3) an important redox-regulating molecule associated with NP degeneration. Using hypoxic preconditioning method, developed GLRX3+ mesenchymal stem cell-derived vehicles (EVs-GLRX3), which enhanced the cellular antioxidant defense,...

Disc degeneration is the common pathology underlying various degenerative spinal disorders and currently there no effective cure. Here, we found nucleus pulposus (NP) cell senescence was closely associated with severity of disc degeneration, exosomes (Exos) derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) ameliorated NP promoted extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition. As chitosan-based hydrogels have been widely used as vehicles to deliver Exos due their prominent antibacterial capacity,...

We have previously demonstrated the anticancer effect of anthocyanins. In this study, we explored biological activities delphinidin, most common anthocyanidin monomers, that were related to autophagy in HER-2 positive breast cancer MDA-MB-453 and BT474 cells. The effects various doses delphinidin on proliferation apoptosis cells analysed. Autophagy was identified as a critical factor influenced chemotherapy, autophagic mechanism delphinidin-treated investigated. inhibitors, 3-MA BA1, used...

Modulating the surface properties of nanoparticles (NPs) is an important approach to accomplish immune escape, prolonged blood retention time, and enhance ability targeted drug delivery. The camouflage cancer cell membrane onto has been proved be ideal active targeting NPs. Herein, we isolated melanoma cells coat doxorubicin (DOX) indocyanine green (ICG)-loaded hollow copper sulfide NPs (ID-HCuSNP@B16F10) for photothermal therapy, photoacoustic imaging, chemotherapy. A remarkable in vitro...

Network neuroscience has broadly conceptualized the functions of brain as complex communication within and between large-scale neural networks. Nevertheless, whether how gut microbiota influence functional network connectivity that in turn impact human behaviors yet to be determined. We collected fecal samples from 157 healthy young adults used 16S sequencing assess microbial diversity enterotypes. Large-scale inter- intranetwork was measured using a combination resting-state MRI data...

The spatial separation between the highest occupied and lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals (HOMO LUMO) in thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) molecules leads to charge transfer (CT) states, which degrade oscillator strength of emission transition sacrifices high solid-state photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), together limiting its application organic lasers (OSSLs). Abstract Ovarian cancer (OC) is a major cause of gynecological mortality, necessitating enhanced research. Organoids, cellular clusters grown in 3D model, have emerged as disruptive paradigm, transcending the limitations inherent to conventional models by faithfully recapitulating key morphological, histological, and genetic attributes. This review undertakes comprehensive exploration potential organoids derived from murine, healthy population, patient origins, encompassing spectrum that...

A novel photoelectrochemical (PEC) biosensor was proposed by preparing Au NP/MXene–BiOCl Moiré superlattice nanosheets as the probes. Upon irradiation with visible light, probe exhibited excellent electrical conductivity well high photoelectric conversion efficiency. Benefitting from PEC property of hybrid probe, sensitive and accurate detection protein kinase activity demonstrated a limit 0.0029 U mL−1. This study verifies great potential MXene nanomaterials.
