The human amylase gene locus at chromosome 1p21.1 is structurally complex. This region contains two pancreatic genes, AMY2B, AMY2A, and a salivary AMY1. AMY1 harbors extensive copy number variation (CNV), recent studies have implicated this in adaptation to starch-rich diets association obesity for European Asian populations. In study, we showed that by combining quantitative PCR digital PCR, coupled with careful experimental design calibration, can improve the resolution of genotyping CNV...

A novel DNA-directed AgNCs (DNA-AgNCs) was synthesized with economical raw material (natural fish sperm DNA) through a simple and rapid approach, it first showed high stable fluorescence emission as stabilized by natural DNA at about 635nm. Moreover, its intensity could be enhanced tremendously in acetic acid (HAc) medium. Whereas, when berberine hydrochloride (BRH) entered the solution system, would interact combine efficiently on surface of AgNCs, which lead to subtle change charge...

Unknown electrochemical reaction mechanisms of K–Se batteries need to be further elucidated in ester electrolyte, facing limited capacities and cycle life, unstable Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI) unclear paths. For a better understanding porosity-confinement functional comparative work mesoporous carbon microporous as the hosts for selenium has been investigated, revealing diverse paths batteries. A single-plateau behavior with "quasi-solid-solid" process is confirmed micropores through...

Abstract The natural structure of the bio‐templates with high fidelity can provide a novel pathway to synthesize carbon materials unique microstructure and morphology for high‐performance energy storage. Herein, facile strategy is proposed nitrogen phosphorus co‐doped submicroribbons 3D cross‐linked network (CSR) derived from mucor hyphae their derivatives. size be customized by tunning kitchen‐type cultivation process grown on tofu surfaces. derivative Ru quantum dots modified porous CSR...

131I therapy is clinically unfeasible for anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC), due to lack of active targets and ATC's resistance radiation. Novel radionuclide-labeled targeted nano-drug delivery systems have exhibited the potential prominent tumor imaging remedy. Capitalizing on recent research achievements in nanotechnology nuclear medicine, we sought develop a radiolabeled nano-drug, which could specifically accumulate ATCs via tumor-selective system treat tumors with both radionuclide...

Hard carbon (HC) suffers from the issues of unsatisfactory sodium storage capacity and inferior rate performance, severely hindering its practical application. Enhancing slope commercial HC is considered an optimal strategy for improving performance. Bismuth metal well-known exceptional capability low-temperature Herein, we report effective approach regulating surface structure anodes by introducing bismuth nanoparticles increasing oxygen functional groups. The normal epithelial cell-specific-1 (NES1) gene, also named as KLK10, is recognised a novel putative tumour suppressor in breast cancer, but few studies have focused on the function of KLK10 human prostate cancer. Our study confirms that expression cancer tissue and cell lines (PC3, DU145, LNCaP clone FGC) low. Given androgen-independent growth characteristic PC3 line more similar to clinical castration-resistant we studied role PC3. In vitro vivo assays showed over-expressing could...

Increased glucose utilization is a hallmark of cancer, and tumor metabolism emerging as anticancer target for therapeutic intervention. Triple-negative breast cancers TNBC are highly glycolytic show poor clinical outcomes. We previously identified hexokinase 2, the major enzyme, gene miR-143 in TNBC. Here, we developed formulation using cholesterol-modified agomir encapsulated neutral lipid-based delivery agent that blocked growth tumor-bearing mice when administered systemically. The...

We report compounds 5 (CG416) and 6 (CG428) as two first-in-class tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) degraders that target the intracellular domain of TRK. Degraders reduced levels 3 (TPM3)-TRKA fusion protein in KM12 colorectal carcinoma cells inhibited downstream PLCγ1 signaling at sub-nanomolar concentrations. Both also degraded human wild-type TRKA with similar potency. Interestingly, both degraders, especially 6, showed selectivity for degradation endogenous TPM3-TRKA over ectopically...
