Time series feature engineering is a time-consuming process because scientists and engineers have to consider the multifarious algorithms of signal processing time analysis for identifying extracting meaningful features from series. The Python package tsfresh (Time Series FeatuRe Extraction on basis Scalable Hypothesis tests) accelerates this by combining 63 characterization methods, which default compute total 794 features, with selection automatically configured hypothesis tests. By...

Sophisticated algorithms for simulation, reconstruction, visualization, and analysis are required to fully exploit potential these We describe core components software that provide foundation development complex their efficient application on large data sets.
We report the result for a search leptonic decay of B+→μ+νμ using full Belle dataset 711 fb−1 integrated luminosity at Υ(4S) resonance. In Standard Model B-meson decays are helicity and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa suppressed. To maximize sensitivity an inclusive tagging approach is used to reconstruct second B meson produced in collision. The directional information from this boost observed μ into signal rest frame, which has monochromatic momentum spectrum. Though its smeared by experimental...

Charged particle track reconstruction is a major component of data-processing in high-energy physics experiments such as those at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and foreseen to become more challenging with higher collision rates. A simplified two-dimensional version problem set up on collaborative platform, RAMP, order for developers prototype test new ideas. small-scale competition was held during Connecting The Dots / Intelligent Trackers 2017 (CTDWIT 2017) workshop. Despite short time...
The enhancement of charged-particle pairs with large pseudorapidity difference and small azimuthal angle difference, often referred to as the ``ridge signal'', is a phenomenon widely observed in high multiplicity proton-proton, proton-ion deutron-ion collisions, which not yet fully understood. Conventional undulators are used in synchrotron light sources to produce radiation with a narrow relative spectral width as compared bending magnets or wigglers. The of the produced by conventional is determined number undulator periods and energy spread emittance electron beam. In more compact like for instance laser plasma accelerators becomes dominating factor. Due this effect these cannot general be high-gain free lasers (FELs). order overcome limitation, modified schemes, so-called...
