The Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee, provides an intense flux of neutrinos in the few tens-of-MeV range, with a sharply-pulsed timing structure that is beneficial for background rejection. In this white paper, we describe how SNS source can be used measurement coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CENNS), and physics reach different phases such experimental program (CSI: Coherent Scattering Investigations SNS).

Abstract A radiation damage database at NCSU is described that contains, present, cross sections for energy, displacements, helium, and hydrogen. For neutrons protons 20-3200 MeV energies, the targets include 23 target elements from Mg to U eight practical alloys. The underlying calculations employ Bertini, ISABEL, CEM2k intranuclear cascade models as provided within MCNPX, three level-density formulations (GCCI, HETC, Jülich), multistage pre-equilibrium model (MPM) on off. also includes...

Abstract The intrinsic characteristics of the monolithic crystal detector are spatially inconsistent, which leads to position dependence on energy response γ-ray as well peak shift spectrum detector, that is, “position-energy” shift. will cause resolution deteriorate and affect linearity detector. Thus, a crucial challenge in enhancing consistency response, improving resolution, ensuring accurate isotope identification is reduction or elimination this offset. correction method proposed paper...

The COHERENT Collaboration is realizing a long term neutrino physics research program. main goals of the program are to detect and study elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEνNS). This process predicted by Standard Model but it has never been observed experimentally because very low energy recoil nucleus. using different detector technologies: CsI[Na] NaI scintillator crystals, single-phase liquid Ar Ge detectors. placement all setups in basement Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at Oak...

In order to ensure the health and safety of female astronauts in space, risks space radiation should be evaluated, effective methods for protecting against investigated. this paper, a dose calculation model is established Chinese astronauts. The absorbed doses some organs two historical solar particle events are calculated using Monte Carlo methods, shielding conditions 0 gcm-2 5 aluminum, respectively. results analysed, compared, discussed. show that aluminum cannot afford enough protection...

ObjectiveThis study aimed to explore whether acupuncture and moxibustion can enhance the immune response by increasing expression of endogenous adjuvant HSP70 mRNA.MethodForty Wistar rats were divided into four groups: model group (A), control (B), normal (C), (D). Model groups A B induced injecting d-galactose for 6 weeks. Rats in C then treated with low-frequency electroacupuncture (EA) at Zusanli (ST36), Guanyuan (CV4), Baihui (GV20) 3 Subsequently, all observed 2 more At 12th week,...

The nuclides inhaled during nuclear accidents usually cause internal contamination of the lungs with low activity. Although a parallel-hole imaging system, which is widely used in medical gamma cameras, has high resolution and good image quality, owing to its extremely detection efficiency, it remains difficult obtain images lung contamination. In this study, Monte Carlo method was study using MPA-MURA coded-aperture collimator. system consisted an adult male model, mosaicked,...
