Static electric dipole moments of nondegenerate systems probe mass scales for physics beyond the Standard Model well those reached directly at high energy colliders. Discrimination between different models, however, requires complementary searches in atomic-molecular-and-optical, nuclear and particle physics. In this report, we discuss current status prospects near future a compelling suite such experiments, along with developments needed encompassing theoretical framework.

Abstract nEDMSF aims to measure the neutron electric dipole moment ( d n ) with unprecedented precision. In this paper we explore experiment's sensitivity when operating an implementation of critical dressing method in which angle between and Helium-3 spins ϕ 3 is subjected a square modulation by amount (the “dressing angle”). Several parameters can be tuned optimize sensitivity. We find roughly 10% improvement over previous estimate, resulting primarily from addition waiting period π /2...

The nEDM experiment at the SNS (nEDM@SNS) is first measurement of neutron EDM to directly measure precession frequency spin due magnetic and electric fields. Previous measurements have inferred by measuring residual polarization neutrons after a long period free precession. This difference provides independent information on potential unknown systematic uncertainties compared previous on-going measurements. It precisely because nEDM@SNS using number novel techniques, that it essential...

Abstract In this article we describe the photon detection readout electronics for nEDM@SNS experiment. The chosen “photon counting” architecture, which utilizes high-efficiency silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) and is appropriate low-light applications, allows use of a relatively high SiPM operating voltage. This maximizes efficiency minimizes gain/efficiency voltage-dependence while eliminating direct optical cross-talk.
